We were very kindly given a bigger cottage than the one I booked , and this one had a sauna and a hot tub which was brilliant. We enjoyed our stay , the surroundings were beautiful and being able to hear the nearby river was lovely.

The room we booked was big enough to be able to unpack and store the luggage. The bathroom was also big enough. The room had a great ocean view. The shared kitchen and fridge were quite practical. The facility was clean and close to a trails by the cliffs (they were a bit muddy that day).We had a great diner at the nearby restaurant and we walked in the evening into the village. Overall, I would stay there again.

Great stopping off point to explore northern Iceland.

Great stopping off point to explore northern Iceland. Right on the sea at the foot of a hike-able mountain. The town is very small, but it has a well stocked grocery store for self-catering options, and a nice restaurant. The views are striking and there are many hiking options. An easy drive to many other towns and sites.

Spectacular view from your front door a nice easy hike just behind the property The cabin was clean well maintained with all the pots pans and dishes one would need their is a grocery store in the town however you might be better advised to purchase items for your meals in a larger town. The cabins have nice decks to enjoy the views great value
