Spacious, clean and the host is helpful. There’s a big window inside the room which is great. The house gives you a vibe of lonely planet lol. Love here We didn’t have enough hot shower for 8 people but I guess that’s one of our members taking too much hot water away. Host answered me pretty fast, and send lovely parent here to check. This was the last accomodation during our trip through Iceland, we spent three nights here and it was perfect to calm down and relax after an exhausting journey. We were two couples and the house was easily big enough for us, it is well suited for way bigger groups. There are two very new and stylish bathrooms and the bedrooms feel new as well. Everything felt super clean and the huge kitchen was well equipped. The location is great to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula in a day trip or visit the Bifröst area and much more. Our host was very friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of information on what to do in the area and even invited us to visit them when they were gathering the sheep. A very special treat for me was that I was able to see the northern lights easily from just behind the house. Of course you still need luck with the weather but the farm is in a very dark environment with only very little light pollution, so you can easily spot the northern lights if they occur(For the stargazing enthusiasts: this is a Bortle 3 or maybe even Bortle 2 class area!). You even get the best angle from the kitchen so you don't have to spend the entire night outside freezing and waiting for them, just wait inside until it's worth going outside. I took some amazing pictures here, just behind the house without much effort. I am very happy with this accomodation as the finale of our trip!

There are very few hotel options in this area and we really enjoyed our stay here. We had our evening meal in the restaurant as there are not many options around and we enjoyed it, I eat vegetarian too and there were a couple of options which I appreciated. Breakfast was also very good with a variety of options. The room was nice, and a very quiet area so we had a good night sleep before our whale tour the next morning!

The apartment is spacious considering its chararacteristics. Kitchen well equipped and with consumables in neat conditions. Everything clean. Bed very confortable. Close to the main road althogh not immediately detectable since it is just 'along the road' without street address.

Great remote location. Also a perfect base to explore western iceland and/or Reykholt area. We really enjoyed our stay, but I wouldn't stay here for more than a few days here for the reasons below.
