Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. There is so much to see.
There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

Well I couldnt fault Clifden it has everything tourists need especially friendship any establishment we went to people were very helpful and courteous we will definitely go back again as it was our first stay in Clifden

A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.Patrick

I love my stay at the Old Exchange. Clifden was one of my favorite stops on my vacation. Mari was great…super hospitable but not helicoptering. She has a sweet dining area that I met a few other guests in, and had some great conversation. It’s close enough to everything happening in the immediate town area…the room was quiet, comfortable, cute! 10/10 would & will stay again!KKelliUnited States

The Irish breakfast was absolutely delicious (probably the best we had in Ireland) and the staff went above and beyond in serving. Easy walk into town for dinner and shopping. Spent our first two nights in Ireland here and thoroughly enjoyed. Took a day trip to Inishbofin which we highly recommend. It's a ferry ride away. Ruth was a fantastic host, kind and helpful. Our room #6 was cozy and large, twice the size of a standard hotel room with a full living room area and sectional sofa. The breakfast was delicious, healthy and made to order. We have nothing but positive things to say about this wonderful experience. Book now!
