Harbour View Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Castletownbere

Situated in Castletownbere and only 4.1 km from Dunboy Castle, Harbour View Bed & Breakfast features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

No cooked breakfast but was for us the best of breakfasts: fast, plenty of healthy and fresh choices (excellent cold salmon), thoughtful gluten-free offering in response to our request in advance. Very good location, a couple of blocks from town center yet quiet, a bit uphill with a nice view of the harbour. Roomy bathroom with lots of natural light. Excellent, charming host.

Cappa House B&B, hotel in Castletownbere

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Cappa House B&B is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Eyeries, less than 1 km from Inches Beach.

Incredible experience. So touched by the hospitality of our lovely host Fran had given! Breakfast and Dinner options are available. Irish Breakfast was nice and she made sure to fully fill our stomach. She is an amazing guide, she recommended us nearby attractions and also guided us about the route. The living toom is very cozy, and we spent time chilling there. There are sitting arrangements outside, we enjoyed watching sunset from there. View offers Ring of Kerry, part of Beara way and of course the beautiful susnset. Dursey Island boat trip or Cable car point is 40 mins drive, and the coastal driveway is mesmerising. Healy pass, Glengarriff are 30-40 mins drive. I would highly recommend this place to stay, because it is very easy to commute to all the nearby attractions and also a big shoutout for the host Fran. We will definitely visit again.

The B&B is most certainly the best one we’ve ever stayed in, it was better than a 5* hotel! The room was just beautiful it had French doors going out to the garden, we were given a glass of bubbly each on arrival and when we returned from our meal out the bed was turned down with chocolates and there was a night cap for us both with a lovely note saying have a good night sleep!! Our breakfast was amazing and we were even given biscuits and cakes for our journey!!

There is so much to do in this area.

There is so much to do in this area. Beautiful gardens you could spend half a day if not a full day. Scenery will exceed all your expectations. I have travelled all over the world and reland still remains the most beautiful country. The food in the pubs we randomly went into was lovely and fairly priced.

Castletownbere is a lovely fishing town in the south west of Ireland. It has a number of great cafes and restaurants. In addition to being a very picturesque place, it is within deriving distance of everywhere on the amazing Bear peninsula, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places to see in Ireland.

A fantastic location that is really unspoilt!

A fantastic location that is really unspoilt! Fabulous scenery ,great walks even around the town and the harbour, very good places to eat. I'd even recommend the chippers in the Square and great music in the pubs at night. It was really easy to get talking to locals and tourists alike. Very relaxed atmosphere and got some shopping in too! I loved the Art Gallery and prices were very good too.

A beautiful B&B located in a quiet yet wonderful location easily accessible by car (not sure about another mode of transport as I used my own car). The place was kept in excellent condition and the room had all the necessary amenities. The toilet was good and had all the required toiletries and fresh towels. The view from our room was lovely, especially in the morning. The breakfast served was good too. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic gems along the west of cork. Ideal location if you are planning a ring of Beara trip.

This is a very well maintained, clean and cosy flat located in the town centre. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Living / Kitchen area is bright and is well equipped and the bathroom is very good with spacious shower. Our hosts were accessible if needed and kindly left some local goodies for our arrival. Local coffee, bread, butter, jam and milk - most welcome and appreciated. Would highly recommend the Old Library for a stay in Castletownbere.

Without a doubt, the best B&B in all of Beara. Beautiful room, great location, and the hotel is staffed by angels - Michelle, Lorna and all the staff put in so much effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is absolutely divine - unparalleled breakfast, and the Tea Room serves the best cake we've ever eaten. If you wish to explore the Beara Peninsula, make the Old Medical Hall your base of operations.

Everything was lovely. Denis the host is gracious & helpful — as needed. The location is terrific for getting out & about in the town of Castletownbere, with a wonderful view across the bay to Bere Island. The breakfast each morning is sumptuous, cold cuts, fruit salad, freshly baked bread, eggs & sausage on weekends. There's even a small library of books about the West Cork region.

We picked Castletownbere as our West Cork base due to the photos (and the good price!) that we saw of the Harbour B&B. Absolutely beautiful place, outrageously comfortable beds, and Caroline is an excellent host. You're literally in the centre the town, which has to be one of Ireland's nicest. Can't wait to go back, although we'll do well to get that weather again!

Location was excellent with a view overlooking Castletownbere. Host Robert was very helpful and informative anytime I needed to contact him. Got to see the best of the coastline from Castletownbere to Kenmare and a day trip to Glengarriff too. And to top it off, a day on Bere Island with Spring sunshine all day. Hope to make it back someday.
