Very clean, comfortable and spacious room, with good view over fields. Geraldine was very welcoming and friendly. There was a good choice at breakfast and the cooked Irish breakfast was delicious. The choice of gluten free items was most appreciated.

We were not there long enough to be judgemental. However we walked down to Houghs to bring in the New Year. That was an enjoyable experience ( Even if we felt ancient. While walking to and from that location we thought that the street was very littered. The actual location is 7 miles from Banagher and in a different county; it would be more helpful to say it is at Eyrecourt; the Townland is named on the corresponding 1/50,000 map. Easy driving distance from Clonmacnois, Birr, Clonfert, Portumna, all important tourist sites. At the time we booked in mid September, there were no other on-line b&b vacancies at or near these sites. We ate food purchased at Banagher though there is also a late opening store at Eyrecourt.JohnUnited Kingdom

While located in a small town, it is only a short drive away from Banagher. Great pub about 100m away (They draw a great pint of Guinness if you are so inclined). Darren the host is a wealth of local and surrounding areas and presents guests with a top notch breakfast in the morning.
