This place really is special. Mike and Julia are incredibly warm and welcoming. We were really impressed by the accommodation and beautiful surroundings. It was also really clean and quiet. The breakfast was also wonderful. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to returning. And they have the most beautiful dog!

Ballycotton is a lovely little village. The people are friendly and its fun visiting the different little pubs on the Main Street. The food at the Sea church restaurant was superb. The schooner tavern was the ideal accomodation for us with comfortable rooms with ensuite. It’s a remotely located, small seaside village with very few amenities so if you are looking for entertainment and nightlife, it’s probably not the place for you. But if you like coastal walks, tranquility, nature, peace and quiet- you will love Ballycotton!

Pity the restaurant in the hotel is closed during the week.. this could be said more explicitly while booking. But there are nice places to go to eat nearby, like Pier 26! The room is ample, with roof windows which required a bit of exercise to open/close the shades, but other than that, it completely satisfied our needs.
