The great Tatinja beach is nearby, and if you want to go further away, there is also a choice of various secluded bathing spots with beautiful rocks. A wonderful path along the sea leads to the city center or to the opposite side just for a walk

Only for those, who are looking for a quiet place. No crowd but also no shops, restaurants etc. within the village. Nevertheless, not far with car in the other villages. Sunset can be seen. During summer season there is lot of good restaurants where you can eat. In Karlobag is located gas station several shops and apotheke. In town there is post office and few possibillities where to exchange money.

Karlobag is a perfect place dor those who like and seek more adventure in the mountains and combine it with beautiful sea. I would say it's a small place more for family, or couples who like peace and quiet or just adventurers who wanna be close to the Velebit mountain.

It's great place to stay with kids, it's calm and small, not so crowded. Restaurants offer great sea food and fish for good prices (especially OK Karlobag). Small City without special spirit but on the other hand it's...
Small City without special spirit but on the other hand it's a good place for "base" to visiting Velebit. Only one hour to Paklenica and one and half to Northern Velebit. Might be also quite good start point for a trip to Una Park in BH - about 2.5 hours. The biggest advantage is that there are 2 markets, petrol station and few restaurants. There are some beaches but you need a car. Best one is zavratnica (a ticket is required 30Kn per person). During evenings might be crowded so sometimes You would better make a reservation in a restaurant. Good one is Karlobag OK and the little one near Karlobag OK but can't remember the name 😀.

We liked the fact that Karlobag is little charming village and it was not crowded at the beach. We would recommend a visit to Plitvička jezera.
