The hotel itself is stunning. There is a breathtaking view and plenty of areas for relaxation. There are two pools, some entertainment areas and access to the sea. The breakfast has lots of options. The staff in the restaurant is professional, friendly and helpful. So is the staff in the Spa. I would really recommend booking a massage, it was the best one we’ve had so far.

On a private beach in Stavros, Blue Beach offers a pool, a tennis court and a traditional restaurant. The self-catered rooms have a balcony overlooking the Cretan Sea and Akrotiri’s landscape.

The villa was amazing and the outdoor kitchen and living space were a total surprise and perfect for us. Lydia was incredibly helpful and attentive and gave us lots of recommendations that we acted on for places to eat and things to do. We had an octogenarian and a 17 year old in our party and the villa - and holiday as a whole - suited their needs and all of us in between. A wonderful stay!

I never give a 10 on ratings but Kavos deserves it, they exceeded our expectations. The experience was beautiful, the place is beautiful, the staff- wow they are absolutely amazing and I wish I could have taken down their names..they were so kind and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble for them, we were taken care of so well, my husband and I travel a lot and there are few places which have left such a lasting impression for us like Kavos.. it was perfect. The place feels peaceful, a real wellness retreat! Facilities were comfortable and clean, really pretty place, pillows were so comfortable, we slept so well. We were picked up from the airport as we arrived which was lovely, enjoyed talking to our driver, were welcomed with a nice drink, check in was quick and then we settled in. Breakfast was delicious! The pool was stunning too. We also enjoyed having a car with the room so we explored the town which we really enjoyed! We wished we had booked it for longer but were only there for one night, but we will definitely be back and be booking Kavos again no doubt! Good job Kavos team, you made a lasting impression on us❤️

Lovely clean comfortable apartment with a verandah with beautiful view of the sea. We arrived late and I had asked the hosts to provide some food for our supper which they very kindly did and only charged me what it actually cost. They sent great directions how to find our room in the dark, it was easy to find, the location was great, not far from the airport. We only stayed one night but would happily have stayed longer and taken advantage of the wonderful pool. A short walk away is a small sandy cove which also looked good for swimming if we had had time.

Perfect stay. A neat and modern apartment with sea view from the terrace. Each apartment has the same view with enough of privacy from each other (separate building from the smaller rooms). The salt water pool was amazing. I only wish to have stayed there longer. A very peaceful place, 20 minutes from Chania by car. Very kind owner. Thank you

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of a hotel! It's located a few kilometers outside of the center and the old town but this was only a positive thing for us - lying by the pool (a big and clean pool for that matter) it was actually calm and quiet with only some birdsong to be heard. The hotel also provided a free shuttle every half an hour to the center and back so the distance was not an issue whatsoever. The staff was a m a z i n g, I can't compliment them enough. It must've been the warmest welcome I've received at any hotel, in any country, and they kept being so genuinely kind and helpful for our whole stay. The restaurant upstairs offers you the best sunset view in town and we actually ended up having dinner there almost every night since the food was also great there. The breakfast buffet was so great as well, with a big variety of food and omelets made to order. If (and hopefully, when) I return to Chania, I will definitely stay at Royal Sun again.
