The location is perfect - on the edge of the village in a very calm street (access through narrow stairs). The accomodation is amazing, perfect for a solo traveler, a couple or a small family. It has everything you need. The White House has a little patio, as well as a rooftop with a gorgeous view over Halki. Very satisfied!

The property was easy to find. Very clean. Everything you needed was there. Hairdryer in the bathroom. Bottle of water in fridge on arrival. All decor was beautifully finished. Air conditioning too. Perfect.

Nice welcome treats . Would suggest that white wine is left in the fridge though as meant with only 2 nights we only drank part of it as not chilled on arrival which would have been perfect. Well equipped and some useful notes. Comfortable bed. Very good communication with owners in advance.

Perfect location, beautiful apartment, nice little private terrace, everything was nice and well cared. The towels were soft and fresh and the house was well equipped. Marietta was easy to reach and Sir Jim took really good care of us. I highly recommend this little house to anyone who wants to add that little something extra to their vacay in Halki. 🫶

The cosy appartement is in the heart of Chalki, in the second row behind the harbour (20sec walk). At our time only a few tourist, nice and calm with a enough restaurants all in walking distance. There is a bakery where you can get greek coffee, good bread, cakes, donuts etc. Nice welcome by Eli and Matilda handing over the keys. Matilda was around daily, if we would miss something she would have helped us. Very good contact during booking and stay also with the owner, we were well taken care of.

great island, Emporio is the main town and where most people...
great island, Emporio is the main town and where most people stay. Beaches are easily accessed on foot or by boat taxi. All the tavernas are on the waterfront, We ate twice at Marias, once at Kifi Grill and twice at Magefseis, all served great food served by friendly people. The bakery was great for breakfast. Pondamos beach is about a 15 minute walk, just over the hill. Lovely beach, well managed with Nick`s Taverna, also great food.

Have been waiting a long time to get to Halki based on a friend's recommendation. She is a long time visitor as are a lot of others that we met. Must say at times it felt like an old boys club! There isn't very much to do and if you enjoy walking you need to go in May/early June or late September. We had a slight breeze whilst we were there but it was close to 30 degrees and there is very little shade. Halki is hilly so you are constantly going uphill! The back lanes can be difficult to navigate if you have mobility issues, steps are uneven in places and only some areas have tarmac. We didn't think the food was anything to write home about. It wasn't bad, just not the best we have had in the Greek islands. We loved how quiet the place is and the people are lovely and welcoming. We will definitely return.davidUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

the peace and relaxation of the harbour front without the noise of cars was wondeful! everyone was in the 'go slow mode' meaning nothing was rushed or hectic. there were so many differeant tavernas to choose from to eat in and plenty of seating in cafes and pattiseries to spend the time of day in.. Halki is a very clean and rubbish free island. people are very friendly and willing to help whatever your needs. Beautiful walks and cute little beaches to visit. Halki has changed over the last 30 years.
Halki has changed over the last 30 years. There are more bars, tavernas and shops but, because of its unique layout and architecture it remains fundamentally unchanged. It's colourful, quirky, peaceful and beautiful. The ideal place to completely unwind. Not for you if you're into discos and casinos. Not for you if you're frail and can't cope with uneven paths and steps... a delight for the rest of us.

Beautiful harbour with restaurants all around.Small,can walk end to end in 10 minutes.Very quiet.Picturesque cobblestone alleys and steep steps behind.Nice beach 500metres walk away. Can walk 3k to a knights castle along a crazy paved road,then up a steep stepped path.

The property is small inside but tastefully presented, everything you need is there, the bed was comfortable. A short walk to the sea for easy access snorkelling and shade/ sun is managed by parasol and a beautiful tree. Fast internet, great air con and lovely bathroom products. The accommodation is within an old stone house tastefully restored and perfectly maintained. Kleanthe, the host, is extremely professional and takes excellent care of this place and her guests. The rooms are spacious, all facilities are brand-new (especially the air-con, that works like magic). We absolutely loved it here and would not hesitate one second to come back.
