PERFECTION - Three Nights at Yialos Hotel - this family run, laidback hotel has such a relaxing vibe, and whilst close to the Port, the beach and the town, it was difficult to leave, even for a day trip. Breakfast overlooking the pool added yet another layer.
Built and furnished in the minimal aesthetic of Cycladic style with beautiful white washed walls.
Pool and sunbeds made for long lazy days - the onsite and always open bar most welcome.
Pure bliss.
We were a group - taking seven "rooms" between us. Yialos is perfect for a large group, a couple looking to do their own thing, or even a solo traveller. Faultless.
Within 500 metres from the long, sandy beach of Mylopotas in Ios, Hotel Petradi features an outdoor pool with unobstructed sea views, a snack bar with a furnished sun terrace and a restaurant.

Truly this place made my trip because of how helpful the staff members were. They are always willing to help you to their best capabilities. They were accomodating and very sweet family. However, doesn't mean the room wasn't good, it was very spacious and clean. The location of the stay was perfect, it's in the central city so everywhere is close by.
Situated just between the village and the port of Ios, Homer’s Inn Hotel is an excellent base for travellers seeking the best of both worlds. WiFi is offered in all rooms.

Lovely family run hotel in Ios. Picked up from the port, wonderful introduction with a cold drink and information on getting around the island, and how to get up to Chora. Lovely pool, with a bar, and excellent breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying on the island.

Set in Ios Chora and with Yialos Beach reachable within 200 metres, Zoe's Place offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace.
Ios Chora is the main town on the island of Ios. It's full of friendly local people, and a mix of expats who have made their homes there, or who visit year after year because of the island's ambience. My stay was over the Easter period, which in itself is a marvelous opportunity to observe or partake in the ages-old traditions of the Greek Orthodox religion. Later in the year, as the temperatures heat up, the town welcomes a much younger crowd, as bars and nightclubs open up to transform Ios into "party island"!

Ios is a beautiful island.
Ios is a beautiful island. The beaches, the food, the people, the buildings, the scenery, the nightlife, the chill factor but most of all the overall vibe is the best of any of the Greek islands I have visited and I can’t wait to go back there. The boat trip taking you to the 6 beaches is amazing with snorkelling thrown in. The square and its bars is a must. Sunsets in various location are stunning and the local traditional restaurants provide amazing food at reasonable prices

October was a very out of season time to visit Ios, most bars, restaurants and shops were closed so there was not much to do in the main town. The buses had stopped doing all routes apart from 3 stops.

Chora is the only one village on the whole island, very pitoresc and full of small streets with lot of shops, bars and restaurants. There are a number of beaches on the Island, worth to visit and very good accessible by car. best of all for sure the Koumbara Bay with the perfect sunbeds and great service, not cheap but worth each penny!
Great accomodation in Ios, I would say one of the best there, bc you have a PERFECT VIEW for the whole village the same as you can see on a postcard. You walk a bit and youre right in the center where all the noise is happening, also great pool on the roof on 1 of its buildings. Typical breakfast as anywhere in Greece, nothing extra but enough. For me the view and the position of the hotel a little bit on a hill was the best, you can very hardly get better view on Ios than from this hotel.
The hotel offers a free transfer to/from the port, which is great!
Staff are very nice - they always try to accommodate requests and to make feel their guests at home.
Swimming pool area is fantastic and has a nice view of old town and the three little white churches at the top of the hill.
Our room exceeded our expectations. It was the best and more comfortable room we had in Greece. Nice style, recently refurbished, clean, great size - it was very nice to spend time in it.
Location is amazing. Right by the beach, and plenty of restaurants close by. Property itself is lovely, lots of outdoor space, and great pool. Breakfast very decent. Five minute walk from the port (you can see the hotel when you get off the ferry), but, surprisingly, that doesn’t in any way detract from the hotel. While Chora is busy (and a steep climb up to it), with a much younger, party crowd, this is great for families and a non-party scene.
We really enjoyed our holidays in Mare Blue. The hotel is very well located, close to the beach and the port area. Maria and her family were really sweet to us and even offered us some traditional greek food they had cooked. Ios chora is about 20' walking and you have to climb some stairs, but you can always take the bus, which has a nice frequency.
I visited the hotel for business purposes and I can say that it is one of the best hotels I have visited! The hotel and the rooms are very clean! Also the breakfast is very rich! Perfect place and pool !Nick and Kostas very professional ,always there for you to help!
Thank you for the hospitality. I definitely recommend it and I will come again!
This hotel is a gem in the Cyclades. We were treated so well by the staff who are so genuine and kind. The hotel is breathtaking standing above the harbour with the most spectacular views. We stayed in the Liostasi suite and also the superior suite both utterly luxurious . The breakfast is amazing. Stay here if you can .
Rich breakfast, if you are missing anything, the friendly hotel stuff will make sure to arrange it for you. Amzing pool that include fresh towels by every visit. Great place at the port, walk distance from the ferry. The hotel runs by an amazing family...thank you so much for the great time
Very nicely situated in front of the beach, close to everything, very charming place, nicely flowered with a very nice swimming pool, also all the staff are pleasant and kind, private parking, we had car, i was amazed even tough i know Greece and the islands very well since years.
The staff was truly awesome. They helped us with everything we needed and gave us useful information. The port is within walking distance, which was really important since our ferry was late. The room was clean and comfortable.
I highly recommend this hotel.
Our favourite hotel in Greece. Amazing staff who were happy to help with anything we asked. Very comfy beds, best I’ve had in a hotel this holiday. Location was outside the centre which helped with relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful little hotel with stunning surroundings and a really nice and clean interior! Staff communicated excellently and we got a lovely Greek breakfast every morning. A unique experience that we highly recommend!
This is such a beautiful hotel! Excellent service! The hotel staff have all been very helpful and friendly. The food is tasty and at the breakfast has a variety of options. Good size pool. 10*
Very friendly and helpful staff . Went out their way to make you welcome . Considering this is a 2 star hotel it is exceptional with views that take your breath away
