I just got back from this place called T'Aloni on the Greek island of Leukada, and let me tell you, it was a real trip.
The man running the place, Theo, he's a character. We were just looking for a place to crash for the night, but Theo's cooking was so damn good, we ended up staying longer. The man can work some magic in the kitchen. And he speaks great English!
But the real kicker, the thing that'll make you never want to leave, is the view from the rooms and the restaurant. Just look at this picture I took.
It's like someone went crazy with a bucket of green paint and just flung it all over the hills and trees. And those mountains in the background, they're just sitting there looking all hazy and mysterious, like they're hiding some ancient Greek secrets. The sea in the distance promises a great adventure. It's the kind of place you can just kick back, crack open a cold one and take in all that natural beauty. Or you can sit there and contemplate the meaning of life, either way works.
So if you ever find yourself on this little island of Leukada, do yourself a favor and look up T'Aloni. Theo will take good care of you, and that view alone is worth the trip.
Just don't be surprised if you end up staying a lot longer than you planned, like I did.
All in all: great food, great atmosphere, great sleep in a tranquil, small town of Chortata.

It was a large family room with two rooms and a large balcony. We liked everything. The apartments are located a little further from the beach and the main street, but on a level road. The place is very quiet, it was nice to sleep. The manager was very friendly and helped in everything he could.
Avra Beach offers comfortable accommodation next to the beach in Nydri. The hotel has a lush garden, a taverna and bar with wonderful sea views.

Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. They even lent me a beach umbrella for the duration of my stay! Room was cleaned/rubbish emptied etc. almost daily. Easy to find and close to some of the best beaches (Milos, Kathisma, Avali etc.) Would stay again and can recommend!

The staff was so friendly and familiar, we felt almost at home, as soon as we arrived. The room was nice and tastefully decorated, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was more than reasonable for the price, with fresh fruit and vegetables, which was a plus for us. They even have a corner with beach umbrellas that we could borrow for the duration of our stay. Georgia is an amazing host, approaching everyone in their own language, playing cards with guests, she is precious. We were welcomed with warm smiles anytime we came or went. The hotel's location is perfect, a few steps from all the restaurants, bars, and the beach. Wonderful!

It's a handy location next to Ponti beach and the Surf School had really good kit at good prices. Pool and sun loungers were good. All staff were really friendly and helpful. View from the side sea view room was great and I enjoyed the music from the bar. Wifi and workspace were good for working.

We spent 5 nights in the peaceful Vissala Viiage but would loved to have stayed longer. We have been touring Greece by car so this spot was perfect for beautiful views over the countryside to the sea and mountains all around you. West coast Lefkada is dramatic and less touristy which we loved. The owner Elena and her daughter are delightful hosts with heaps of knowledge on where to go, eat and swim. Hidden gems off the beaten track and restaurants frequented by local. Great to come back to your own pool each evening for a refreshing swim and watch the sunset. Huge outside space with loungers and shades. Simply a magic stay and we will return.
