It's a decent city, just over an hour away from Athens. The seaside promenade has some good tavernas. Perhaps the best part of this town in its excellent Archaeological Museum, located near the bus station.

When we first arrived the city did not look too welcoming, but as we saw the city by night and it's nightlife it already looked and felt a lot better. It just took us 2 days to find the shopping street which was really nice and the prices where good. Great place for a short visit!
Great place for a short visit! The view is great from almost everywhere! It's got a castle up on the hill and a lot of great shops on the sea side. Simply walking around town and along the shores will reward you with interesting experiences.

For future guests, we come with an opinion from our own experience: choose this host and this location and you will not regret it! The sofa is clearly superior to many beds, even in some 4-star hotels!! He sleeps excellently on it and the siesta on it is extraordinary! We thank the host for all his efforts!!

The whole area was cozy with a few tavernas and lots of people but still quiet. Takes only 10 minutes with a car to Chalkis center if you want more life, shops and restaurants. Chalkis center is very nice! The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful and very helpful with everything. The rooms were very clean and practical! Can highly recommend this hotel!
