Argassi is a very nice and lively area in Zakynthos.
Argassi is a very nice and lively area in Zakynthos. There is a lot of traffic you need to get accustomed to, but it is great. Lots of restaurants and bars. Not very much options to visit a beach, but its good.
We have traveled the whole Island, but Argassi was the best place to stay in the evening.

Fantastic location for visiting all areas of the island.
Fantastic location for visiting all areas of the island. Several tour operators to arrange your ideal days out can definitely recommend Michael's tours for car hire and personalised trips.
There is a wide range of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.
No beach as such but many beach bars with sun bed areas and access into the waterr I would definitely recommend Remmezos. Great food and fab hosts.
The resort is almost flat so no problems with mobility.
Argassi is about 15 minutes taxi ride from
the airport, taxis are available right outside the airport and currently cost €20

Argasi is a small town at the coast.
Argasi is a small town at the coast. It’s quite touristic, with many shops with cheap beach stuff, which all look the same. Many restaurants, which offer typical Greek food for tourists (grilled meat, fries, etc.). It’s a long a busy, loud street, walking is very difficult there. There are some bars but nothing really like a club for dancing. You cannot really walk along the beach, since most of the time there is no real sand beach, the hotels and restaurants span to the ocean and then there is directly the water.
Restaurant prices vary from 9 to 16€ per dish.
There are many offers for tourist activities like renting a squad car or taking a boat trip.
I wouldn’t stay here again, since it was too busy and touristy for my taste.
I whole-heartedly recommend the restaurant “erato” though. Great food and perfect service!

Agassi is a much more sober environment than Laganos.
Agassi is a much more sober environment than Laganos.
The beaches are not deep, and not all the hotels by the sea have a beach. The hotel furthest south with beach access is "Paradise".
On August 24th you can get a bus from most places to the main town to celebrate St Dennis.... its a big event... prepare to be underwhelmed.

It is calmer than Laganas, so definitely a plus..
It is calmer than Laganas, so definitely a plus.. But generally Zakynthos doesn't have ancient architecture to admire.. So be prepared just for tourist shops and restaurants...
Also if you wanna see nice beaches you need to go by boat.
4 days in Zakyntos would be optimal, a week was too much.

It was end of season, so very quiet.
It was end of season, so very quiet. Lots of restaurants and bars. Access to beaches also. Regular buses mon-sat from Argassi to Zante. Taxis available too. Argassi is small, so easy enough to walk around. Walk from Ionian Hill hotel into Argassi approx 10 mins.
I stayed at Alisaxni Studios in September 2022 for 4 nights. It was perfect with direct access to the beach. I stayed in the bottom unit that had a kitchen and a patio that I loved. The location was ideal with numerous restaurants within walking distance. I brought my rental car over on the ferry and Alisaxni Studios has free private parking onsite which was great. I had a awesome time on Zante and the close proximity to the port from Alisaxni Studios made for a great lodging location choice. The cruise around the island was fantastic!
Location was fantastic. We had an ocean front room and it was absolutely beautiful. The pool was clean and the breakfast was way above average for a Continental breakfast. Having two kids we needed to make sure there were plenty of things to do. The water directly in front of the hotel is a bit merky and rocky but just on either side of the bridge it was nice, clear and warm to play in. Having a small kitchenette was helpful so we could purchase drinks and snacks across the street instead of paying the higher prices at the resort.
We checked in Diana Palace around 11 am, we were told to wait until 15:00 to get into our room. Around that time we were back and after some minutes we were told that we had to move to another hotel from the chain for one night becase there were some plumbing issues with the rooms. The day after we came back and our room was ready, we stayed at the new part and the room looked really pretty. We also got a big nice balcony which was a big plus. Staff was always helpful and friendly
We had true pleasure being at Angela property.
The view from the terrace is gorgeous and makes me think I'll search for more hilltop apartments in the future :)
It felt like we came to our see villa as we had all the necessary facilities and it was comfy!
Once you come with the car to the island, it is near the port and it's a good starting point for all your daily trips through the island!!
The whole Angela's family was nearby and we had pleasure to interact with them.
The hotel is quiet and has a great location on the beachfront. The studio we had was spacious and clean, the kitchenette had everything needed, even if you prefer to cook for lunch and dinner. The bed is large and comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and new. We had a small plumbing problem but the owners were very helpful and managed to solve it quickly even though it was Sunday evening. There is free parking on the property for 5-6 cars.
Location of the hotel is comfortable, in the center of everything you need: restaurants, shops, medicine help, rental of cars and so on. However, the beach nearby is not as you would expect when landed in Zakynthos but it is not very important when you have a car or other vehicle. 10 mins by a car or bus you can find Banana beach.:)
Rooms are very clean and maintained. Also, beds are VERY comfortable and sheets are so soft!
Very good breakfast , huge effort for one single waiter ( praise Ana ) , beautiful location , great restaurant ( for evening only ) daytime it is fast-food only - great small beach ( clear of stones ) really nice lounge area ( garden set ) - close to city center in Argasi - hotel is seated on the beach and the view we had from the room was priceless - overall a very good trip.
The magnificent view over Zakynthos (town), the dinner/desserts/cocktails, the swimming pool. My girlfriend liked the presence of hair conditioner as part of the room amenities. Our room was next to the pool and on my birthday we could have dinner from the restaurant served on our porch, which was 100% great. Great washing of clothes.
Overlooking the sea and Zante town. Close to bars and restaurants. Rula and her mum were very friendly and asked if we needed anything on several occasions. They changed the bed regularly and we were well stocked with towels and loo rolls. The apartments are a bit dated and basic but clean and welcoming. We would return again.
The property was very well maintained on the exterior. Very nice pool, pool bar and access to the beach. The staff at the hotel provided the kids with floaties to play on the pool and beach for free. Parking was good. Very close to al lthe restaurants and bars. Good breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Now this is the place to stay . It’s Agassi. Right on the beach. An absolute gem. Not too far not to close from anything . Place comes fully equipped with washing machine , detergent, sunscreen and dish washing liquid. Yiu must stay here . I only wish the lord can bless me with Moore days . Stelios se efharisto
If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful expérience , this place is perfect . In thé middle of nature and ideally located( 10 minutes from thé airport and 15 minutes from thé most beautiful beaches in Zakynthos.
We had a very hearty welcome from our host Stella who is So lovely.
Will go back for sure !
Best location to stay in Zante!
Close to all best beaches and a few steps from very good restaurants. Very cosy and beautiful cortner in Agrassi.
Staff very friendly and helpfull.
Beautifull view from the room. The sea also very nice near hotel - sandy cost, clear water.
Highly recomended this hotel!
Beautiful cosy cottage that had everything we needed for the week (including a frappe maker!) having easy access to Netflix was a really nice touch. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Zakynthos
The staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is very nice, close to restaurants and everything within walking distance. Highly recommend this place. Good value for money.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Very helpful hosts. Nice and clean house and beautiful views of the sea and across Zakynthos. We also enjoyed using the jacuzzi on the terrace. Quiet and calm area.
