Michelangelos - Rooms, Restaurant & Bar, hotel in Wylam

Located in Gateshead, 5.1 km from MetroCentre, Michelangelos - Rooms, Restaurant & Bar provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Firstly I must thank Ginger Ninja, Turkey Tit's and Stuble's (God I hope that sticks) for there amazing hospitality, they truly maid my visit one to remember. Fun genuine people who do there jobs perfectly and still find time to make strangers feel like friends. As for the accommodation - Large clean and comfortable room attached to an great restaurant the breakfast was especially good. On a final note, I can stay in 4 hotels in a week due to work and I always use Premier in as a baseline when comparing accommodation and this place was great. My only regret is I won't be working in that area again.

The Keelman and Big Lamp Brewery, hotel in Wylam

Situated in Newcastle upon Tyne, 7.2 km from MetroCentre, The Keelman and Big Lamp Brewery features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The room we stayed in is set in a self contained secure accommodation block near to the pub and was comfortable and with a bath which was much appreciated after a long days walk, The location is very close to Hadrians Wall path and cycle way plus a nature park with access to the River Tyne so lots to do. The pub was a real find serving real ale and good food which both went down well after a long days walk. The pub is very popular so early booking for a guaranteed table is recommended.

Wylam is nice little village friendly locals.

Wylam is nice little village friendly locals. The Ship advertises breakfast on their web page but we didn’t get one. The landlady was on holiday same time we stayed so wonder if that’s the reason why we never got a breakfast. We paid £87 night for small room with very old beds. We had no shower gels or soaps and had to buy from chemist. Joanne landlady was on holiday hence reason for no breakfast which is stated on website. The room was clean but bed was very old and rickety. The pub bar staff were very friendly but very limited knowledge on accommodation almost to the point they was frighten to say anything. I did ask if they would pay £87 night for a rickety old bed in 9x11 room. We aldd sad o had to make our own bed every day / night had there been availability we would have gone to another property..... very disappointed would like some one to call to explain how the dearest accommodation in Wylam yet the only one that doesn’t supply a breakfast

Great little place with friendly locals and very good real ales! We Just found it a little short on eating places on certain nights so visitors need to be aware. However, the village Co-op came to our rescue!

I have family in Wylam, and always stay B&B or hotel my choice. I like Wylam. I usually park the car and walk to wherever I need to go in the area, Found the coffee shop this time, and I always find something in the Pharmacy that is useful. Purchased a thermometer this visit, which I have not been able to locate elsewhere. I love the sound of the river rushing through the place.

Only there for one evening before watching GNR, but the village was very pretty had at least 3 pubs and an excellent bistro. I would like to complete the Wylam wagonway, I've only covered about 2 miles of it.

The hotel was lovely, room was clean, spacious and just what we needed. Special mention for Joanna she was absolutely lovely, very accommodating and the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble! Child friendly and with plans to make it more child friendly. Food and drink service was very good and breakfast was lovely. A lovely little hotel situated (for us at least) in the middle of everywhere we needed to go.

Unusual place to stay but accommodation was good. We had the en-suite room which was nice and clean. They have a kitchen on the same floor as the rooms where there are breakfast cereals, milk and bread provided and facilities to make your own food if you want with a fridge, cooker and microwave. Ideally placed for train travel and Wylam is a beautiful little village with a number of pubs.

We loved our stay. The hotel had a very homely feel, received a great welcome from staff. It was very pet friendly and had no issues having our big dog in the room. Breakfast was exceptional with a great selection on the menu. Staff did everything they could to accommodate us and we felt like we were really being taken care of. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

We were hiking Hadrian's Wall and stayed at the Boathouse. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were perfect for four tired hikers. The unique pub serves Thai food that is delicious! The owner went out of his way to be sure we had everything we needed. The Boathouse at Wylam left us smiling and laughing.

The location was good, as was the parking. We were on a "room only" basis so we can't rate a breakfast. We found Wylam to be a lovely village with several nice walks and excellent real ale pubs, friendly locals, and handy for lots of sightseeing.
