Very disappointing to find that breakfast and evening meals were unavailable, despite requesting these when I booked. The website and even the board outside referred to menu choices.

We visited Shaftesbury a lovely little town, of course you have to take a walk up and down Gold Hill. Due to Covid the museum was closed which was a shame. Go to the Bakery for a cheese straw. Walk along to the Abbey and take in the views, breathtakingly beautiful. We also went to Durdle Dor but it was very crowded so we came away but there are many other beaches you can reach from here. On the way home we we going to visit Stourhead but there were no more spaces on their online booking, one for next time and a reason to book again

Perfect for us. Very quiet location.

Perfect for us. Very quiet location. But we enjoy exploring. We took our bikes and cycled 50 miles two or three times in our 7 day stay. We walked to the local pub,Ibberton Arms. We were within easy reach of Weymouth etc... by car. We had a Indian curry delivered one night Mumbai Bay from Sturminster Newton. Our hosts were so accomodating. We had use of the BBQ, Fire Pit. Amazing views from the garden, and no noise.
