Rural and rough. Get away from the city, people and tech, then this is the place for you. I loved it. Got a bit cold at night so bring a blanket. Bed is raised (medium firmness but comfortable), so there is an area under the bed for your dog to sleep (bring their bed). The little wood burner gave out loads of heat, I say have it ready to be lit for first thing in the morning. The place is great for a younger couple with a small dog looking to get away from the world for a couple of days to enjoy each other company :)

A very comfortable room after a long day's hiking. Breakfast was everything we needed. Friendly staff who helped us to arrange dinner in Clovelly and also to find our way back to the South West Coast Path. Perfect overnight spot on this hike.

Becky couldn’t have been more helpful, even offering to drive me to Barnstaple when I realised I’d messed up my return travel plans. In the event, that wasn’t needed as she had a postponed booking so I was able to stay a second night. Breakfast was a banquet; everything beautifully presented, lots of choice. I would highly recommend this lovely B&B.
