Location ideal, near both bus and train station and close to town centre . Staff all friendly and helpful. Highlight was the excellent breakfast. Hall Park Hotel self check in, hotel in Winscales

Your comfort is our aim at this family-run hotel. At a recent health inspection, we were awarded 4 stars by Cumbria Tourism.

The cooked breakfast was exceptional,, and more than I could eat. The eggs benedict were great too. Really comfy memory foam mattress, smart shower room. Clean and New looking decor, and the staff were ultra friendly. Even the bar and restaurant prices are cheaper than I am used to. The beer was good but no food on offer that night, although other pubs nearby for food.

I think this place is very good for exploring Cumbria that most do not see (on the west coast), myself and my sons have travelled the coastline and trust me it is worth it. OK it is not a million miles from the mountain areas (Ennerdale), the road network is really good so if you do not feel like going up on the rock travel the coastline, you will not be disappointed, stormy days are best, it is awesome, beautiful England.
