nice hotel/b&b but not as nice as i thought it would be, the photos are a bit deceiving of its size! staff were pleasant enough and continental breakfast was ok but was a very much a serve yourself theme going on! location is good for the harbour/seafront although there isn't much to see/explore in what is an essentially rundown old seaside town!

Just a perfect place for a guy like me! I'm sure anybody would feel right at home here. I had the single room with a balcony and a picturesque seaside view!
I started every morning with an incredible breakfast and because of the ideal location was minutes walking distance to any and everything I could possibly need.

Whitehead is 20 minutes walk along the Blackhead Coastal Path. The seafront is the most picturesque part of the town. There is a nice bakery just over the bridge on your right as you enter the town. Opposite the baker there is a butcher. There is a railway station with trains to Larne and Belfast. There is also a chippy by the station (the town end of the station, not the sailing club end)

The accommodation was great, nice apartment very handy for beach and train station. Very quiet area and Whitehead is a great starting point for travel up the coast to Giants Causeway, South to Belfast and the Titanic centre or cross country to Lough Neigh. Eating out try the Diary at Gleno(e). And take a quick peek at the gleno waterfall. Or a bit further out is The Rabbit a bit pricy but great food and service.

I'm a big fan of the Antrim coast generally, Whitehead is quite a small town, but the walks available make it an ideal location and base from where to start from.
Had a wonderful meal at the golf club and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area, especially if staying at the Mccrea's Brae accommodation sites. Loughview Lodge in particular

It's a pretty little town with a lovely walk along the sea to a lighthouse. Not much going on at the beginning of the week but things open up from mid week on with some cute shops and cafes. There's a great restaurant, The Lighthouse, too. The train into Belfast is frequent and efficient.

The residence is in a beautiful country seaside town with a golf course which has unbelievably good views. It is about 200 metres from the main street where there are good local shops. The town also has a convenience store which is well stocked and has an Off Licence. The residence itself is a beautifully restored Victorian era house with modern facilities (and a great shower). The owners take great pride in the house and it shows. They are great hosts who obviously love what they do and are happy to sit in the large kitchen and chat with the guests.
