The Cosy Pad, hotel in Tywyn

Boasting garden views, The Cosy Pad is situated in Tywyn, 13 km from Aberdovey Golf Club. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking.

We stayed here whilst visiting DYFI bike park which is 30 mins away. The pictures don't do it justice, whilst small it doesn't feel small. The surrounding Welsh hills are nothing short of beautiful. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys walking or mountain biking or even if you're just after a cosy, quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We will certainly be back the next time we visit DYFI.

Newly renovated 1st floor apartment with mountain views, hotel in Tywyn

Situated in Tywyn and only 400 metres from Tywyn Beach, Newly renovated 1st floor apartment with mountain views features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The apartment was conveniently located between the town and the beach and also a close walk to the railway station. It was very comfortable with all the facilities we needed, making our short stay very enjoyable. Views of the mountains at the back of the property and the sea could be seen from the front windows. Parking was easy and close to the property entrance for easy loading and unloading. Tywyn is a small town with a Co-op and a Spar, a very good bakery and a number of cafés, restaurants and takeaways. There is also a very good little park nearby with crazy golf, tennis and putting which is ideal for young families. This is also close to the wonderful beach where some spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed at the end of the day.

This hotel is exceptional. The faculties are amazing. There’s a pool, a games room, even a sitting room for the dogs who are staying in the hotel. There was even a harpist entertaining in the evening! The whole place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and there are lots of original art works around. The location is great and there’s lots of safe parking on site. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Small friendly Welsh town near the beach.

Small friendly Welsh town near the beach. Good shopping, excellent restaurants, safe, short walk from center of town to the beach. A night at the Magic Cinema is a must along with a ride on the train to start a hike.

The accommodation was very clean and very tidy.

The accommodation was very clean and very tidy. It felt like home as soon as we sorted out our luggage and made up the bed. The toilet and shower was very clean there was a lot of cleaning products in the property so there is no excuse not to leave the place clean and tidy when you leave . The tv picture was very good. We had to use the tv one day as it a very wet day. The beach is just a two minute walk away . All in all it is a brilliant little place for up to 4 people . I think we will definitely be going back there again.

As regular visitors to Tywyn, we have seen it slowly deteriorate and for it now to have several empty shops etc on the main street is very sad. The issues with having no doctor within easy reach is a very worrying situation too. We had recently been considering relocating to Tywyn, but our 2023 Easter visit has probably put paid to that with it now requiring a severe regeneration programme to make it more appealing for future residents and businesses, including our family of 4 (3 of which are trained engineers). To have gone to the trouble and immense cost of building the new sea defences, to now let this beautiful historic town appear as though it is on it's knees is an absolute travesty. Shame on the town council!

We were surprised how quiet tywyn was for the middle of august when we visited, considering the lovely weather we had for the week. Always easy to park & the beach & generally walking about was fine as not too busy anywhere. We thouroughley enjoyed our stay in the area & having never visited this part of wales before will defo be coming back.

Tywyn is a very nice seaside town in southern snowdonia and is an ideal base for walking the area. Tywyn is the main base of the Talylln Railway which is a must to go on if you are staying there The beach is a bit pebbley but is sandy as the tide goes out. There are plenty of cafes and eateries but most are only open during the the day. There was not much choice of places for an evening meal except two exclusive places in town where you have to book and two Indian if you like Indian food There is a pub on the front which serves very good food but the menu is very limited and stops serving by 8pm.

    Tywyn is a beautiful place.

Tywyn is a beautiful place. I have been coming here since childhood but haven’t stayed overnight here for about 20 years ( just days trips ) . There are lots of lovely places to visit both local and a litter further out . There are beaches you can go to ( if you know ) and you will only see a handful of people for miles either way. You have Dolgach Falls which is a def place you have to visit . Beautiful walk and waterfalls. For big shopping days you have Barmouth and Aberystwyth. Tywyn is surrounded by the Snowdonia mountains so is very picturesque.
