Vale of York restaurant and rooms, hotel in Topcliffe

Situated in Thirsk, 21 km from Lightwater Valley Theme Park, Vale of York restaurant and rooms features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Nice pub with a decent menu. Breakfasts were great made to order and the staff very helpful. Plenty of parking available onsite. Rooms are in an annex across the yard. Rooms are not the biggest but they are functional. Staff were kind enough to prepare a ground floor room to avoid having to negotiate any stairs. Bathroom very small but good shower.

It was a good price for the area and a good location for what we were planning the next day. Quite village and location with parking. Nice staff and pub. Bear in mind you cannot check in till after 4pm. Rooms are fairly small but they have everything you need. The only reason why I have given it a lower rating is because beds are very important as a good night's sleep does matter. I recommend the hotel invest in good quality mattresses as it pays off. Invest in some black out blinds so people can sleep if they like it dark. If these were done then I would stay there again.
