A thatched cottage right by the river, and my room (no 10) overlooked the river and the bridge. The river is so picturesque, and sitting in the garden in the sun was wonderful after such a long drive from Yorkshire.
The room was nice and tidy, not expensive in its fittings etc, and that suited me.
My room was in the roof space (watch your head if you are tall) and was fairly warm, probably due to the thatch keeping the heat in.
Also the cooked breakfast was very nice.
Enjoyed all of my 2 night stay, and was very good value.

The staff really make this place. Genuinely lovely. The food was fabulous. The setting is gorgeous. It is our favourite stop off place during a long journey to Cornwall.

quiet country location, beautiful view of field and sheep from bedroom window. The host was excellent. The owner texted me, prior to my arrival warning me of a difficulty with the access to the farm and advising of a different route. At breakfast the owner paid particular attention to my very necessary dietary needs and went way above my expectations .

Kim & Tim were perfect hosts, from our welcome on day 1 to our departure on day 4, and they couldn't do enough for us. The farm is very rural and located in a central area of Devon and perfect if you want to explore the county. The room we had was large and had plenty of facilities, with a large en-suite too. The views over the farmland were beautiful. The breakfast was lovely, having a huge choice of options for either your Full English, serials or toast. Overall, our stay was perfect for what we wanted, and to get away from London. Thanks Kim & Tim, we will be back!

Location was lovely, such wonderful views. Rooms were spacious, quiet and clean. Breakfast was wonderful. It was very easy to find when following the helpful instructions provided by the owner. I wish I could have stayed for longer!

Lovely secluded area, absolutely fantastic gardens with an amazing view across the valley. The apartment itself had plenty of space for my husband, myself and my baby in one room and my mother in law in the second bedroom. Tea, coffee, milk and bread were provided. The beds were very comfortable and the settings very tranquil. The directions to the property were very good. It was an absolute treat to come here and we would definitely be looking to stay again in the future.

The town is a bit down at heel, we found a great Italian restaurant though, might have been called ponte vechio, can't remember, tourist office is now in the museum, sadly the museum costs £8.50 with no discounts which I think is too expensive. We did a self guided town tour and there are interesting buildings / histoy but no buildings open They have a variety of shops including a department store, tesco m and s Wetherspoons does cheap meals but is very busy and a dark building but ok for lunchjanet - 10Scored 10
Tiverton is a lovely market town with plenty of branded...
Tiverton is a lovely market town with plenty of branded shops as well as local businesses. There is a cinema offering the latest films, a museum, plenty of parking. Lots of cafes offering home baked goodies, local bakeries with an array of delectable produce.... People were very friendly and welcoming. Close to the motorway enabling travel to nearby towns and a great rail connection at Tiverton Parkway.

We live just over the Devon border in Somerset and Tiverton...
We live just over the Devon border in Somerset and Tiverton is a good location to shop if you want to go to different supermarkets or the indoor market for local produce. We went for an event, held in the pannier market, which was full of stalls and good food and drinks vendors. It is easy to get around Tiverton and people are friendly and helpful. Tiverton good hotel , good breakfast just tea coffee weak , ( but had we known could of would of bought a coffee at bar ) The rest was great clean room hot water, We took our puppy he had a relaxed time and took him to lounge last day to sit with us , Son loved it great safe parking too

Nice spacious room especially as we had two dog sleeping crates. Very pet friendly. Breakfast hot food was disappointing often not warm enough and or dried out from being under lamps too long. Restaurant menu was a bit limited which meant we ate away from the hotel most days

Tiverton is a Devon market town with a good atmosphere. Good location for days out to Exeter, Exmouth and near Knighthayes NT. Good transport facilities, railway is 6 miles out of town but bus service into Tiverton

A cream tea greeted us on arrival, and the Linhay provided everything that you could possibly need for a self catering holiday including a state of the art hot tub which overlooks the rolling hills of mid Devon. Would definitely recommend. The house boasts modern decor, two high end ensuite bathrooms, a wonderful kitchen and washing facilities. Dinner at the nearby hotel located on the river was also very good. John (manger) also advised us of the old Roman Road that would take us to Warwick. His knowledge and directions were appreciated.
