Free breakfast included which was great. The beds were comfortable and they were really accommodating with the check in as we had a wedding nearby that started earlier than our check in time.

Stunning location, the type dreams are made of.
Tastefully decorated in keeping with the history of the castle
Food was delicious and piping hot. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were always smiling and were very well presented.

The Guest house is set in a beautiful location with stunning views overlooking the Welsh hills couldn’t be more perfect.
The hosts were welcoming and made every effort to ensure the stay was perfect. Breakfast was beautiful, from a range of cereals, fresh orange and a combination of delicious cooked breakfast, the hosts although busy engaged with everyone during breakfast. You felt as if you had known them forever they made everyone feel at ease a regular home from home experience. Would I recommend you stay here most definitely.

Swallows Retreat is a beautiful property, in a great location and everything about our experience was perfect. Sarah’s communications were timely and useful (eg, last part of the journey directions and locating hints) When we arrived, we found the property spotlessly clean, well equipped, beautifully furnished (comfy sofa and bed!) light and airy. We had everything we needed to cook a light dinner and with the blinds and door curtain shut, the space became cosy for the evening. Also, the shower was roomy, decent power and lovely big towels. There is a nice, sheltered outside seating area too.
In a peaceful corner of rural Cheshire, The Pheasant Inn offers wonderful views, cosy log fires and a pretty courtyard garden. The inn is situated in the scenic Peckforton Hills.

I went carden park with my partner whom is 8 months pregnant. The service we received in the hotel was terrible. Food was rubbish everything was over priced, Spa was a extra cost which was not stated at the time of booking. The best thing their is the spa itself I wouldn’t recommend for anyone outside the county not worth the money better to go somewhere local with a 5star hotel with spa.

The best thing for me was how helpful the staff were. The only real complaint was the children playing with balls all over the pool making it impossible to have a nice swim, had planned to swim most days but only went once.

Overall whilst this is a nice hotel it’s not really five star and I struggling in some areas to be 3 star.. the cuisine in the restaurant was bland small and had re heated fries… the spa is not part of your room rate even though The spa pictures are all over the website and booking pages… there’s not even a reduction for hotel guests
The restaurant booking times are restricted and inflexible… the best meal we had was the one we didn’t have at the hotel when we went out for the afternoon
Rooms are comfy and linen clean.. TVs is n the room are basic.. no sky or digital channels … not five star…
Room service menu was very limited too… when we were told it was 45 mins to wait decided not to us it….
Overall we had a great time as the hotel is relaxing and comfy in the lounge areas but it should be more than that at the prices charged and ratings claimed

Beautiful Hotel with gorgeous grounds so peaceful.
Beautiful Hotel with gorgeous grounds so peaceful. All the staff were lovely and friendly and even better that we had a room upgrade which was overlooking the spa.
The terrace outside Morgans Bar was lovely to use as it was beautiful weather whilst we were there.
We have already re-booked for September and hopefully next June to celebrate our wedding anniversary again.
Only negative for us was we ate out at night due to the fact the restaurants were a little fancy for us and not what we would normally eat. I think if they extended the menu at the Morgans Bar would be good incase some people just wanted a more lighter option . But thats just our opinion. Overall a fabulous stay and would highly recommend

The room which we chose was fantastic, and away from the main hotel with views over the Spa. There was a balcony in our room as well where you could sit out in the evening. The food was very good, and in fact when my Fillet Steak was not what I ordered, they immediately changed it and brought extra chips!

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside. Chester is only 10 miles away and plenty to do and in the local area. Food was fairly good in the hotel restaurant and we enjoyed our stay.
Stunning location. 😍 we stayed in the Shire room. It was perfect for our stay. Loved the coffee machine in the room 😍 the bed was so so comfy! The kids loved their den bunk bed. The shower was waterfall shower was such a nice bonus too. Some hotels have really bad water pressure this was just perfect. Plenty of pillows and towels also. The breakfast that's included was delicious. We would definitely recommend.
I, and 2 of my friends are registered, I have a guide dog, and one lady is 90 so I asked for help at breakfast so it did not land on the one able bodied among us, the staff were so helpful and the breakfast really good. The staff were great throughout in all parts of the hotel and spa.
The hotel , the staff and the location all exceeded what I knew would be great anyway. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpfull. Definitely going to stay again. The break was worth every penny. Highly recommended.
Beautiful bedrooms. Good breakfast and delighted that there was gluten free bread for our daughter.
Overall a fantastic stay and much nicer in our view than the corporate and overpriced Carden Park hotel!
I enjoyed my stay here. My room was comfortable, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A professionally managed and old school hotel.
Beautiful setting, fantastic stay and lovely helpful staff, the hotel room and Spa were absolutely spotless. Such a fab place to visit. Will definitely return.
