THE NEW INN Newton Derbyshire, hotel in Tibshelf

Set in Tibshelf, within 29 km of Chatsworth House and 29 km of Nottingham Castle, THE NEW INN Newton Derbyshire offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive....

Situated on a residential main road, it was surprisingly quiet. The room smelled lovely and it was clean, modern and very comfortable. The room contained everything you'd expect: a large, flat screen telly; a mini fridge; a little awkward wardrobe that looked good but was a little tricky to access; a choice of teas and a choice of coffees. I think you could have accessed the beer garden but I didn't venture out there to try. There was a free car park around the back which was full when I arrived but there was plenty of parking available on the side street. It's just a set of rooms without a reception, although you rang a number and you were greeted and shown around your room. I am happy to recommend it if you want room only.

It was a convenient stop over but the hotel was very disappointing as there was no hot water to have a shower in the morning and no one at reception to complain . When I did find someone, I was told to email. The service station had places to get food but a lot of if it was shut later in the evening when I needed it.

Located just off the motorway, small selection of shops/eateries although some close relatively early. Large enough car park with a few disabled spots out front aswell as an electrical charge station just up from the main entrance. Barely hear any noise from the truck stop behind the building, same for the motorway noise.

It was quiet ....... but we booked a 2 double bed room and when arrived it was a 2 single bed room paid more for a room that we didn't have . The lady on reception was not very friendly and when asked about the two double beds was told nothing she could do as the accommodation didn't have double bed rooms and that we would have to contact booking.com as nothing to do with her. So basically she passed the book and blame to someone else

Friendly staff and good location ( if you use the staff service road to come and go rather than motorway which adds loads of extra miles if staying a few days to explore the local area I.e Peak District) Beds poor- felt and could hear the springs clunking Nobody on Reception until check in. Hotel generally needs a refurbishment as looking tired. Booked room with sofa bed but they no longer provide a sofa bed just an additional bed. No fridge if staying a few days. Fan provided on request

if you book this hotel find out if there is to be a party...

if you book this hotel find out if there is to be a party that night! if so, unless you are a party animal and you like attending other people's parties don't book it! The sounds from the pub will be very loud in your room making sleep impossible. If there is no party then I could imagine it's a nice place to stay. It is handy for Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall. The landlord is a nice bloke and helpful, He has just spent a lot of money doing the place up and has done a good job. Furthermore, it's a nice pub. Pity about the party and very loud and rather average DJ!

Friendly, suited my budget perfectly. Did not need breakfast but none provided by hotel which suited me. A bit ackward to locate and dont use Google Maps which makes a dogs dinner of getting thete through back roads. I was very happy and extended my stay 400% longer. Will use Days Inn again in other parts of the country that I have yet to visit on my business visit.

Great location for heights of abreham and surrounding area such as alton Towers and gullivers. Hotel location has a grassy area for kids to stretch their legs or just to chill after a long drive. Staff that i did meet (blonde on reception) was welcoming as needed to be, polite... We will use this hotel again.

Can access from off motorway if coming in from side or from Southbound carriageway though is on North - all via NewtonWood Road. Good covid prep. Good with dogs. Nice room. No real noise despite motorway. Far better hotel than competitor chain in Alfreton where we stayed two weeks before.

the place was OK and the room was very nice but they had a party that night and were getting ready for it. The hotel was in a good state of repair and the room we had was to a good standard, pitty the TV had no remote and couldn't be used.
