Mill End Hotel, hotel in Throwleigh

On the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Mill End Hotel features a creative restaurant, elegant bedrooms and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is set in leafy grounds just outside Chagford.

Our room was very pleasant and our two little dogs were well catered for, which was much appreciated. The dinner was good, staff very pleasant, charming & fun to talk to and we were able to talk with other guests at adjoining tables which was most enjoyable. We liked the ambience of the dining room, well laid out with smart linen table clothes but without being pretentious.

Brookside Cottage, hotel in Throwleigh

Located in Sticklepath village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Brookside Cottage is just a 10-minute drive from Okehampton. Free WiFi is offered.

Great location in small historic village (2 pubs, great little shop, National trust property, lovely riverside walk, easy reach of Okehampton and Dartmoor). I only met Pete (and his lovely dog Rolo). He was very friendly and helpful, and cooked me a good breakfast, including fresh eggs from the hens I could watch in the garden while I ate. I would definitely be happy to go back!
