The hosts are very responsive to questions, and everything was well organised. You will need a car to reach it from Stornoway, and that is part of its charm. Do be sure to call into Tesco in Stornoway before going there as there are few places to buy food for breakfast (but there is tea and coffee at the house). The wifi connection is good, but away from the house you may not be able to get a phone connection (which stopped us from telling the owners we had checked out for a couple of hours) so do all your communication in the house over the wifi. There is a beautiful beach near the house and many more a short drive away.

We liked the Ness area of Lewis. The accommodation was excellent standard and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for cooking. The location was good for exploring Lewis and Harris. The local pub was a mile up the road which you could walk to in the summer. Excellent Cross Stores also a miles walk but they stocked everything you would need and home cooked food cakes quiches curry’s etc! Plenty to see and do on the Isles and all folk very friendly and kind. Iain was a great host and quick to reply to any questions. We would recommend this accommodation and will use it again next year and especially as it’s dog friendly!

We had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage at one of the most beautiful ends of the world. Everything you'd need was there - and those views over the sea were fantastic! We were very pleased about the little goodies and the personal welcome card, too. When you're there, don't forget to visit the hosts gallery in the village. We'd love to come back.

Monard Villa was a fantastic property in a beautiful location, ideal for touring the Isle of Lewis. The property was very warm and welcoming and had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Mairi, our host, welcomed us to the property and gave us the rundown on how things worked, etc. She was also very knowledgeable about everything local, what to visit where to eat etc. She also left us a lovely welcoming pack of essentials and goodies, which was appreciated.
All in all, it is an excellent property, which I would fully recommend.
We wished our stay was longer, we will be back. 👍

So quiet with great rural views. We loved being so close to beaches (5-10 minutes in the car to at least 3 beautiful beaches). Lots of walking and photo opportunities.
We also loved being near a dog friendly cafe; the Wobbly Dog.
