We stayed in Strathyre early February and the local cafe and pub were not open. Possibly the pub was open in the evening but with small children that wasn't possible for us. It would have been nice to eat out. Scenery lovely.

I already wrote on trip advisor but I really feel that another platform will convey how happy I am with my stay. The new owners appear to have worked very hard to make the hotel warm and inviting and I can see that some previous reviews are poor which should not be a reflection on this place as it is now. Both owners and staff were incredibly accommodating, the rooms were spotless, the food was gorgeous, the prices were reasonable...absolutely will return! I wish them the best of luck and lots of success with this new venture! Absolute naturals!

Lovely small quiet village with some beautiful walks and stunning scenery. If you head over the bridge past the village shop there's a beautiful walk up through the woods and up the mountain which can be done in an hour and a half. In the field by the river there are two very friendly horses that love attention. We said hello to them every day! There's also the lovely loch lubnaig which is very accessible and the broch cafe which has great reviews although we never had chance to visit. Really cute place if you like peace and quiet and plenty of walks.
