The Old Vicarage Hotel & Restaurant, hotel in Stawell

The Old Vicarage Hotel & Restaurant is one of the oldest buildings in Bridgwater, with some parts dating back to the 14th century.

Room 18 was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom with bath and walk-in rain shower. The breakfasts included a buffet and table service for cooked dishes. The building is old and full of character but my bedroom was up a flight of winding stairs.

Holiday Inn Express Bridgwater M5, Jct24, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Stawell

Holiday Inn Express Bridgwater M5, Jct24, an IHG Hotel in Bridgwater has 3-star accommodation with a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel also offers free WiFi and free private parking.

We were allocated another hotel due to the Holiday Inn being refurbed, however the replacement was excellent, we stayed at the Hotel Ibis, Bridgewater, we had 1 twin & 1 double connecting rooms which were amazing. Loved the "industrial" feel and look of the decor. Breakfast was slow and had to wait for food to be replenished, however it was very good.

Great welcoming tea ! fancy some party card games ? or just a great laugh or chat with interesting and intelligent owner’s, in comfortable surroundings Ivy cottage will do you proud. You do need a car for the trip to the pub for food, but don’t stay to long its just as much fun at the cottage :-) Just a few minutes from M5 , Ivy cottage is a good base to visit Cheddar/ Bridgewater/Wells/Glastonbury

Tiny roads, but that's rural Britain.

Tiny roads, but that's rural Britain. Friendly drivers making difficult roads easier, but that's rural Britain. Friendly neighbours in the village and other locations. Other guests were also friendly. Quiet and full of nature, birds, other wild life. Lovely and peaceful.
