This beautiful country house is right next to the offas dyke path with well marked walking access. The house and room are beautifully decorated and the grounds stunning. I could even watch the house martins nesting from my room. Breakfast was one of the best I've had. Hope to come back.

Appreciated host saying no need to rush off the next morning so able to leave when we were ready. hosts very helpful. Directions on entry were spot on! Very comfortable room. Duvet to die for. Complimentary water, real milk for tea and coffee. Bishops Castle is home to my favourite beer in the World.

Almost everything was perfect until it came to late Saturday night. The quality of the breakfast and evening dinner was outstanding as was the members of waiting staff.

Fabulous location, lovely food and attentive, friendly staff. The only downside was not having a stand-up shower in the room but not a major issue to workaround (there was a handheld one).

Although there was no breakfast I was told upon arrival that I could use the kitchen and the dining room for self-catering. This was really useful and gave me time and space in the morning.

Cooked for us and offered limited menu, but this gave us plenty if choice, even though restaurant was closed. So did not get to try some dishes that others had enjoyed

Rebecca was the perfect host and could not have done more to make my stay perfect.
It was only the weather that let the stay down as I would have loved to spend time in their gardens.

The Space Guard Centre near Knighton is an interesting place to visit. See website for times of tours.
The Boar's Head in Bishop's Castle serves good food at a reasonable price.
Bishop's Castle has some interesting old timber framed buildings.
