A fabulous 2 night stay at The New Inn 1730. Breakfasts and evening meal were great with the added bonus of a Sunday roast that was scrummy. Room suited us perfectly as friends on a walking trip with a double bed in one part of the room and an additional room with the single bed and ensuite. The property was maintained and decorated beautifully, in keeping with the age of the building. It has a lovely atmosphere which gives a relaxing feeling and is a stepback into the world and time in which it was created. Amy is a wonderful host and ensures you a tremendous welcome, doing all she can to make you comfortable. Gardens are waking up to spring and will be in full bloom soon. A fabulous location for enjoying the Westmorland countryside and superb landscapes for walking, painting, etc. Will be glad to return.
