The cooked breakfast was exceptional,, and more than I could eat. The eggs benedict were great too. Really comfy memory foam mattress, smart shower room. Clean and New looking decor, and the staff were ultra friendly. Even the bar and restaurant prices are cheaper than I am used to. The beer was good but no food on offer that night, although other pubs nearby for food.

The cottage is really quirky and well furnished and decorated. It has absolutely everything you need. There were breakfast cereals, jams and butter left for us but our booking included a cooked breakfast at a nearby cafe which was excellent. The wi-fi is good as we noticed it wasn’t in the pubs we visited. The hosts communicated very well with us about access arrangements etc.
We had dinner at a local restaurant called Portobello Wood Fired which was also excellent and you can take your own wine.
Yes, there are steep steps up to the property and up to the bedroom but this is clearly stated at numerous times during the booking process.
