Our only concern is that there are insufficient staff in the breakfast area whenever the hotel is fairly busy. In all other respects entirely satisfied particularly with the helpful and very pleasant attitude of all the staff on duty!
Situated in Henley on Thames, The Catherine Wheel Wetherspoon Hotel offers a bar.

Central location. Quiet room despite being above the beer garden and near the lift. Usual choice and value of Wetherspoons pub all the better for being just downstairs!
Huge accessible bathroom.

Room was perfect and very good value. Location was pretty and parking was easy to find/use. Front reception staff were very helpful. I would recommend this place to stay at.

The host was particularly helpful even before my arrival, as I needed assistance with navigation as I could not use Satnav. After a fraught drive on 2 motorways & despite enjoying the beautiful scenery due to an unexpected detour, I felt relieved to arrive at such a 'homely' looking hotel. Not here the usual long reception desk which graces many chain hotels, but a fine gentleman making me feel very welcome, who carried my bag for me & gave me a choice of two rooms, both on the ground floor. as I'd requested. Such a comfortable bed too & the best nights sleep I'd had for a week and woke to the sound of birds singing. Continental breakfast 1st day but full English on my 2nd morning, before my drive back 'up north'. Such an enjoyable stay so it's 5 Stars from me !

Not the best time to describe the area, as it was dark and stormy, but it looked quaint and probably really attractive in better weather conditions. It's a surprisingly quiet village, so near to the conurbation of Reading.
