The hotel is located on the main Promenade with local shops etc nearby. Bus 308/309 from Newcastle head into Whitley Bay, its about a 5 minute walk from Whitley Bay bus stop to hotel.
Now with the hotel......
On the approach to hotel, from the outside it looked like a building suite being truthful, but I was wrong after having the situation explained to me after being checked in at Reception.
The lovely staff at Reception clearly politely explained they're going through a good refurbishment programme, making the hotel looking good.
My original room(2), unfortunately had issues with a fan in there but I was moved to room (19] which was much better indeed. Room (19) was very clean, good ensuite too.
Breakfast was ok, breakfast is served from 6.30am.
They're are around 17 steps up to hotel rooms & breakfast room from main reception.
But overall yes, when I'm up here again- I'll definitely come back. The staff here who I seen and spoken too, were very helpful, patient and understanding which I respected, as I am a customer with learning disabilities.
Enjoy renowned, warm Geordie hospitality at this privately owned and personally operated family hotel, just minutes from the city centre. Free parking is available but with limited availability!

The booking process was simple , a good price and excellent communications throughout . Check in and car parking excellent . The free car parking is a real benefit compared to other city centre accommodation . The meals we had arrived quickly , tasted very good and the service could not be faulted .

Nothing at all bad hotel from the start supposedly smelt fag smoke in my room yeah I am a smoking but I respect there non smoking rule and I went out for fags so they have smelt fat smoke in the corridor so they just invited them self in and went right through all our belongings and I mean everything while we weren’t there so that’s totally in the wrong there
Seaton Delaval is ok. Easy to reach other areas, i.e.
Seaton Delaval is ok. Easy to reach other areas, i.e. Whitley Bay, Tynemouth. The owner of the terraced house seems to think the cleanliness was adequate. Perhaps the owner's cleaners are short-sighted, as the thick dust on the lamps in the living room, dirty bathmat, hook falling off the back of the bathroom door and unclean kitchen sink with scruffy, barely bristled dish washing brush, plus unwashed pans, are a figment of my imagination! I have been renting cottages in various parts of the country for many years, and this one was one of the worst. Sorry, but true. He should tell his cleaners to go to Specsavers before the reputation of his cottage is ruined.
