Breakfast was great! Room was nice however the bed was too firm. I requested a second duvet as a cushion. It didn’t really help. Other than that my stay was great

    5 nights is long enough.

5 nights is long enough. We visited several historic houses and the fabulous beaches fairly close by, so a great location for tourists. Close to Newcastle though we didn't actually visit the city There is an Indian restaurant within yards of the property and a well-stocked Spar shop on the next block. Small shop and post box opposite

The property is an absoute gem.

The property is an absoute gem. Tricia was the perfect host, friendly and welcoming. Tea/coffee and milk available when we arrived and a lovely bottle of wine waiting in the fridge. The location was perfect, you have everything on the door step, 5 miles either direction from the property and you can get everything possible. Bigger locations such as national trust properties are within an hour of the property. The seaside is within 5-10 mins drive from the property also, would recommend St Mary's island / lighthouse (check the times for the tide). On the doorstep, seaton burn was a lovely quiet village, a good few local take aways (Chinese and indian). The parking for the property is behind the property off the main road, which is viewable from the bedroom window. Newcastle airport is approx 5-10 mins away and the flight path runs over the house, but it wasn't a very busy route (depending where the planes are flying too/from) and you dont notice them after about an hour or 2 (as we're not use to them being so low/close to our home) but this wasn't a problem and wouldn't affect our rating or views of the property. We will be back very soon and cant wait for our return!
