The staff at the Gannet hotel couldn’t do enough for you. Very accommodating, friendly especially the Receptionist Charmaine. Staff at the Beach front Restaurant need to make customers feel more welcome, felt very uncomfortable.

St Erth is very convenient for travel in all directions and on direct and frequent train and bus routes to Hayle, Penzanne and St Ives, including Coaster bus service which does a circular route through St Erth, Penzance, Lands End, St Ives, St Erth. All day bus pass was good value. It was so convenient to get the local transport and avoid parking in the busy local towns with their narrow streets or having to drive down very narrow country lanes. Very helpful for doing linear coastal walks.

Not far to the train station and cheap tickets. To get to st Ives without worrying about driving or parking. Not far to go to Penzance and get the ferry to the isle of scilly. Plenty of places to eat and to get pasties from.

Ideal place to stay just outside Penzance and St Ives.

Ideal place to stay just outside Penzance and St Ives. Very close to Great Western Railway park and ride £4.10 per day to park. Need to add railfare, currently £3.50 for single fare into Penzance, but does save a lot of exasperation trying to drive into Penzance town centre.

44Trevithick is St.Erth, but not mentioned when booking, it is on the John Fowler Tolroy Manor Holiday Park. Didn't mind as Store was convenient, Pub/Club & sports facilities useful. Maybe an advantage to mention it ? Kitchen is top notch, so easy to cook. (Although only 2 pan lids fitted lol). Tried to keep eating out cost down. Didn't really go into St Erth itself ,I think.(If we did then I missed it lol). Used Hayle for Asda ,fish & chips & The Royal Standard Inn for a drink & poker on Monday night. Hayle has a quaint little harbour. St. Ives obviously beautiful but well visited. Boat rides alittle pricey, but good.
