First time in St Albans and we absolutely loved it, we fell for its charm and it has everything, museums, book shops, great artisan shops, galleries ,great restaurants and cafes especially Abigails and Per Tutti, handy for the Arena, great English pubs and of course the Fabulous Cathedral, but most of all , lovely friendly helpful people

Lovely town for those who wish to discover London’s suburban arias. Great for kids and families. Cathedral with the relics of the first English saint, museum to learn about Romans, the oldest bun in UK…and much more..

St Albans is a very friendly town with people opening doors and being kind and considerate. We ate in whetherspoons in their Tudor barns and they also had an outdoor area to eat and drink if no rain! The pricing of everything we ate and drank was of good value and was very clean. There was lots of places we wanted to visit but most of our holiday it rained! But we did visit the shops which are all different and have different price ranges and styles.

I was there for work so didn't really have a chance to look around the place. I managed a visit to the cathedral which is a marvellous hulk of a mediaeval building and still an active place of worship. Wel worth a visit.

A classic english town with traditional houses, historical places and a small but well-cared city centre. St.Albans has a wonderful gothic cathedral, the calm and nature of the wide city park and the oldest pub in the UK is there. Services and shops make the city a nice place to live and to visit.

Beautiful hotel and spa full of character. The grounds were smaller than expected took roughly 10 minutes to walk around. The spa was lovely. Clean changing areas and poolside. Our double room was a good size bigger than expected and the bed was huge. Breakfast was great with a good mix and great vegetarian options. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly. Rooms were well equipped with Elemis toiletries. Close to centre of St Albans.

The hotel was excellent in my opinion. It is in an historic building and we stayed in a small room but with good facilities and character. Also had car parking. Ideal for visiting historic areas of the town and for shopping. The food we had was excellent value for money including Sunday roast and breakfast. The staff were helpful and polite, and we will happily stay here again. A bonus for us was that for £10 a night the dog could stay with us.😁

Spotless, absolutely clean and felt safe! Really easy to find by car and ample spaces to park. Bed was really comfy, loved the luxurious feel of the duvet. Shower was nice and big. Room had lots of space in comparison to other hotels I've stayed at in the Hertfordshire area.
