First time in St Albans and we absolutely loved it, we fell for its charm and it has everything, museums, book shops, great artisan shops, galleries ,great restaurants and cafes especially Abigails and Per Tutti, handy for the Arena, great English pubs and of course the Fabulous Cathedral, but most of all , lovely friendly helpful people

St Albans is a very friendly town with people opening doors and being kind and considerate. We ate in whetherspoons in their Tudor barns and they also had an outdoor area to eat and drink if no rain! The pricing of everything we ate and drank was of good value and was very clean. There was lots of places we wanted to visit but most of our holiday it rained! But we did visit the shops which are all different and have different price ranges and styles.

The spa was lovely. Clean changing areas and poolside. Our double room was a good size bigger than expected and the bed was huge. Breakfast was great with a good mix and great vegetarian options. The food we had was excellent value for money including Sunday roast and breakfast. The staff were helpful and polite, and we will happily stay here again. A bonus for us was that for £10 a night the dog could stay with us.😁
