The Lemon Tree, hotel in Rossett

In Wrexham town centre, the Lemon Tree Hotel offers stylish rooms with character features. With free WiFi and free parking, there is also a restaurant.

The quality of the cooked breakfast was excellent, but I found it very strange that none of the usual breakfast items were available e.g. cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, preserves etc.

The Townhouse Chester, hotel in Rossett

Centrally located in the heart of Chester and within the historic city walls, The Townhouse Hotel is a Georgian period house built in 1699.

As a cheaper-end place to stay in the centre of Chester, the Townhouse met our expectations perfectly. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent - everything was so tasty! The room was a good size and the bathroom was clean and well-kept, too. Bonus mention to the staff for the extra attention paid to our room upon the request of celebrating my partner - the balloons and setup were such a gorgeous touch! Lack of parking - we thought would be an issue but the nearby APCOA car park was easy to find and the hotel provide a 50% discount, so it was much easier than expected!

Lovely old building, well kept, good parking and lovely gardens. very easy to book in . Room maid was very pleasent and thorough. bedroom was spacious, with TV and free wifi .tea, coffee hot chocolate and biscuits provided. Bed was comfortable but not a kingsize. I would stay there again as it had a nice feel to it. I only visited one Public house in Rossett which was very nice good food and reasonable price. There were several Public houses in Rossett that did meals had good reviews from people we met.

The location and grounds of the hotel are lovely.

The location and grounds of the hotel are lovely. The staff as usual are really friendly and give a warm welcome. There are no vehicle chargers, but when asked staff said they are looking to install them. Rooms are a bit tired and could do with updating, but they are comfortable and very clean.

Brilliant transport links, bus link to Wrexham and Chester. Close to drive to Cheshire Oaks and explore lovely North Wales. Would highly reccommed the walk between Horse shoe falls and Llangollen (The donuts in the shop in Llangollen are amazing!).

Perfect for a one night stay.

Perfect for a one night stay. Room was comfortable but could do with an over haul, net curtains/curtains coming away from the wall - could be addressed very quickly. Bathroom also needs some TLC - bath side coming away, mastic around bath very unattractive! Bed comfortable, shower worked well. Fortunately there was no function in the hotel, so we could walk through the hotel to get to the bar/breakfast. If there is a function you would have to walk round outside - if raining, you will get wet!!! Breakfast selections poor - fresh fruit option and pastries very unimaginative and limited! Wouldn’t stay longer than one night!

This was a very nice hotel with nice outside areas, big rooms and was exceptionally quiet at night thanks to its location. The food was excellent and also very good value. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

An excellent place to return to.

An excellent place to return to. Liked · The food is wonderful. This applied to both the evening meal and breakfast. Nearly everything was tasty, nicely-cooked and of ample proprotions . To cite a few things the sauces with both starters and mains were delicious and though I rarely eat a cooked breakfast much of what was on offer was irresistable including the tasty bacon and egg from the buffet. Staff were first class and personable and our room very Ok. The reception area was very pleasant to sit and relax in. Disliked · Music in the Oscars dining room was uncomfortably loud on entry but staff were totally responsive to turning the volume down when it was requested.

Rossett Hall has a great reputation as a wedding venue and it's easy to see why. I've dined as Oscars in the past but never stayed in the hotel before. It was delightful, welcoming and as a Solo Woman I felt safe and cared for. If you're dining, beware the portions are huge but neither the wine or the prices difficult to swallow. I attempted to extend my stay, sadly they were fully booked. I'd definitely recommend and will return again soon.

Reception staff were very friendly, giving us ideas of local places to visit. Tea,coffee, and hot chocolate with biscuits in the room. Powerful shower with plenty of hot water and Elemis toiletries. Lovely roast beef dinner and breakfast selection was plentiful, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, cooked breakfast, toast and pastries. Quiet hotel with lovely gardens perfect for our stay.

Very welcoming staff, clean hotel, comfortable beds! Attached bathroom was nice and the room was bigger than expected. Nice areas to hang out and have a drink. Breakfast was included and very good, lots of options. Great location, walking distance to a few different restaurants, had a nice dinner.
