All the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The breakfast was very good and included cooked and cold buffet items. There was a large car park. The room was superb value for money.

I never imagined a major town in South Wales could be so run down. I checked out of the accomodation a day early and found myself in the High Street around 0830. I had an hour or so here before my train out of town and I saw nothing of interest to a visitor.

First time in Wales for me. Everywhere we went met with friendly people. Even the girl in Next chatted while serving me and laughed with me about my day.Family meal (14 of us) at TGF. There are many places to eat in Newport, there is also lots of shops and local bars with live music. It is close to Newport football stadium. It also has a little castle near the train station. We had a room at the front of the building with a huge bathroom. This is a family run hotel and the owners and team are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them. We booked full English breakfast which was excellent. We will definitely back, it would be good to try out the restaurant when they open up. A good location for Newport (20.min stroll) and Cardiff.
