Mortehoe is a small village above Woolacombe Bay if you are experienced walkers and like the challenge of a hilly coast path then this would suit you. Every where it is very hilly and challenging to walk.

North Devon is Beautiful... and Morte Hoe is a little gem to be enjoyed. It’s a perfect base to to travel to all the key highlights of the area. A must is walking the old railway line down to Ilfracombe and then enjoying the odd scone and double cream.. get more incentive to walk back up the line!!

    Fabulous coastal walks.

Fabulous coastal walks. Easy reach of amazing beaches but quiet village location. Two pubs that do all day food plus a fish and chip shop and take away shop. If you are lucky enough Miss Fea's Cafe does pop up evening meals. Catch it if you can.

Good location in the heart of the village which was very pretty, a short drive or walk (for Woolacombe) to the other towns and coastal villages in the North Devon area. Two pubs serving food within a two minute walk of the Snugglers Rest, Mortehoe itself is very pretty and unspoilt.

We had the small room but it was perfectly adequate with a lovely shower. Mortehoe is a lovely little village with beautiful cliff walks. Only a 5 minute drive to Woolacombe beach. You can walk there. It takes about 20 minutes but is a very steep walk on the roads on the way back. There are two pubs a few yards from the Smugglers Rest for evening Meals.

Location in Mortehoe is excellent close to the headland walks and south west coast path. Quieter and more pleasant than Woolacombe it self. The attached bistro Mrs Fea’s is good quality. The BandB is family owned by Will and Stacey both are delightful and very helpful. Breakfasts good and filling.

Large, comfortable room with superb bathroom (shower and free-standing bath) and small balcony. Quiet location in centre of Mortehoe, a lovley village with post-office, shop, take-aways and pubs. Great breakfast (any combination of English or Continental or both!). Friendly and welcoming hosts.

This was self catering accommodation. Well cleaned. A high bed was not easy to get into and out of. The shower was okay but a bit under powered. A nice TV. A general air of dilapidation outside, walls needing paint etc. A good location. Given the cost we’d probably have done better in a hotel.

Excellent quality food, particularly liked the interpretation of the English Breakfast. Room was comfortable and restful, and the shower was the best for ease of use I have so far encountered in many hotel visits.
