Location of property, overlooking sea and small isles, quiet and within short walking distance to harbour, bars and restaurants. Layout of Skye studio was well equipped and had everything we needed for a self catering 5 days, decor was beautiful clean and bed very comfortable. It was exactly everything we hoped it would be. Hot tub was great and a lovely way to enjoy an evening after a day of walking.

The view to the sands of morar are amazing that’s where the good review ends . We got put in room 30 at the top of the building . The shower head on the shower would not stay high enough on the rail just kept sliding down 😳 The window in the room didn’t shut right so there was a draft constantly which made the room cold . Also when the wind got up there was a constant noise which kept my wife up all night . Over all hotel very tired and dirty not worth the money avoid .

The Morar hotel is located in a small picturesque village overlooking Morar bay and sands.
My wife and I had a two night stay over and enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel staff when we used the dining room and bar facilities. All of the staff members looked after us impeccably, in particular Akram and Tuan worked hard to ensure our stay was memorable.
We would certainly recommend the Morar hotel for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Morar is very quiet which was perfect for us.
Morar is very quiet which was perfect for us. It is also very well placed for exploring the surrounding areas. The beach was perfect, just like in the photos! The hotel was excellent, a very good menu and tasty food. Welcoming atmosphere, excellent staff and nothing was too much trouble. We went to Mallaig, 3 miles away, and took a boat trip and got to see Minke whales! We also took the ferry to Skye, just 45 minutes away, and had a fantastic display by dolphins following the ferry!

Morar Hotel is a lovely refurbished hotel with great views from the restaurant and the bedroom we had. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the food was good. Excellent buffet choice at breakfast.
Mallaig was only a couple of miles away and there was a boat doing free sailings until the 31st March which we recommend. The dog also had a great holiday running around the beautiful beaches and in and out the water.

It's an out-of-the-way place but has its own rail station.
It's an out-of-the-way place but has its own rail station. The views from the sea view bedrooms are far-reaching and can be watched for hours.
There is a Thai food outlet just a few doors from the hotel but it is closed on Mon/Tue nights.
Better priced and quieter than Mallaig, a good holding point for the ferry.
We were allocated a room at the front of the hotel which overlooked the road. I asked for a change to one at the rear of the hotel, with a view of the loch and Skye. We were immediately moved to a room with breathtaking views across the loch and the sea, to Skye. The room was clean, modern and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant menu was extensive with different and familiar options. Breakfast included haggis and black pudding, a definite plus! The staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially Tuan and Akbar.
Location is fabulous. The views over the Silver Sands, the bay and over to the islands are magnificent. The hotel is in a great position, easy to find, plenty of car park space. It has been recently renovated, is very clean and clearly well cared-for. The staff were exceptional; very helpful, friendly, chatty and caring. The bar is also good, the beers from Skye were great. The lounge was comfortable, the dining room was great with wonderful views out over the bay. The food was delicious and beautifully cooked.
The staff was very helpful and diligent during my whole stay. The bar a restaurant were right downstairs and they both were cozy and and a great experience. The food and service were exceptional and they had a great variety of wine, beer, and liquor to choose from. I came for a relaxing trip so I could unwind and write, and I was able to do just that. Not to mention it was right across the street from the train station so transportation was a breeze. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
We stopped for one night and had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were extremely friendly and even upgraded our room on arrival, to a superior room. This had ample room for our luggage and we found the king size bed to be very comfy. The back of the hotel also has beautiful views of the beach from the decking. The hotel is close to some gorgeous beaches too!!
Light and airy. Beautifully clean and well provided with linen and kitchen essentials etc. Lovely couple of owners very pleasant and helpful. Quiet and peaceful situation, easy to walk to loch morar, and a short scenic car or bicycle ride to mallaig or arising . Would definitely recommend it to all our friends wanting relaxing sanctuary. Easy parking for all.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great. The hotel room was nice and the location was beautiful. There was nothing that the staff wouldn't do to be helpful. The staff that was great was Tuan and Akram who we most had dealings with during the evening and were fantastic.
The view was absolutely beautiful, it looked over the sea. The location was super convenient, we took the ferry the following morning and was just a mere 6 minute drive from Mallaig. The service was also really good, I asked for a hair dryer and one was promptly delivered by hand to my door.
The scenery is stunning. Loch Morar is just across the way.... definitely worth a visit.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful.
Dinner is great and they have a gluten free menu.
The restaurant area is simply beautiful.
Gorgeous location on the coast of Scotland. We were able to walk to Loch Morar, and down to the beach. It was only a 5 minute drive to the ferry, to continue our journey on to the Isle of Skye. The lobby decor and dining room are very nice.
Staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable despite being short staffed. Hands off to the very pleasant restaurant manager who went above & beyond!
This was my fourth stay at the Morar. The staff are always courteous and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is ideally placed to explore the wonderful area.
Hotel situated in a beautiful area , very friendly and polite staff . Good parking, food was ok a little pricey, drinks were expensive . overall disappointed
