It was lovely and clean place, bargain for what we paid and well located right in the Matlock Bath. Owners were quick to respond to our messages, very helpful and keen to help/advise. Pictures don't do it justice, it looks even better in real. Kitchen and lounge are separate and having the bedrooms in upper floors, we couldn't hear anything happening on the ground floor. Very quiet with a walking distance to a heart of Mattlock Bath, Heights of Abrham with caves and Gulliver's kingdom. Having a parking spot available was very appreciated.

Matlock Bath is such a beautiful place , the views, the walks, and a lovely restaurant called The Seafood Cave and Grill. The food here was omg so fresh and tasty! Would definitely recommend this restaurant, not cheap but worth a visit. Some of the other local pubs ran out of food on a Saturday afternoon which baffled us to be honest? Lots of fish and chips available which seem to appeal to motorcycles. The walks are beautiful and the heights of Abraham are well worth a visit.

There are a lot of things to do in the area and lots of lovely countryside to walk in. Wirksworth and Ashbourne and Cromford are great places to visit. Dovedale, Chatsworth and Bakewell are not far away either and Carsington Water is only a 15 minute drive.

Well worth visiting. We went to Dovedale which was amazing,
We stayed in Matlock and ate at the local Italian restaurant in town, which was good and reasonably priced.

Lovely park and square beside the river, plenty of places to eat and drink. Small independent shops and a M&S foodhall. If you are travelling with a canine friend Matlock is very pet friendly with great walks and a lovely pet shop

Close to all shops pubs etc easy to park up own parking place FREE , pubs nice food expensive, Chinese take away Cantonese Wok not nice.
We walked to get cable car at £28 + EACH not worth that money ever HONEST nice ride up to top of hill 5 min ride to top and same coming down 5 mins for the money its wrong.
Lovely hotel, beautiful room with tea, coffee biscuits and water, the staff were so friendly and always had time to chat to you. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the vegetarian breakfast was great with bubble and squeak and a derbyshire oatcake filled with cheese even had a choice of cereal, fresh fruit salad, porridge or yoghurt as well as the cooked breakfast.Would return to this hotel makes a great short break away and Matlock bath and surrounding areas are beautiful.
This was our second stay and again we had a great time. The room was really comfortable & the food is excellent here with a really good breakfast. The pub is situated just off the town centre but is only a 5 minute walk away.from all the shops, pubs & restaurants. There are lots of walks from the town and there is no need to take the car out if you fancy a day off driving. The staff are friendly and welcoming which adds to the experience. We will definitely return.
Great location. It is a short walk down the road to the town and local restaurants/hotels. The station is even closer if you want to go to Matlock Bath to experience the Heights of Abraham or Cromford for the Mill complex. Arrive by train or bus to Matlock Bath and the cable car is discounted. This is a quiet location with welcoming hosts who provide a marvellous breakfast to order.
We have stayed at this hotel 5 or times in the past and had been looking forward to revisiting after its major renovation. The room was better than before, as was the decor in the bar and restaurant areas. A beer garden had been added which was well designed and landscaped. However, the hotel for us had one major Achilles Heel (see below).
Lovely hotel room, spotlessly clean, comfy bed. Breakfast was tasty and good quality.
The outdoor pool was free and sure its lovely in summer but a bit too cold in October.
Great location, just a short walk into Matlock Bath.
Special mention to the manager Jane, who went above and beyond to make it a special stay.
The rooms were beautiful, very well furnished and decorated.
The breakfast was exceptional, everything was tasty, hot and cooked to perfection.
The owners were amazing, nothing was too much trouble.
The location was perfect, in the centre of Matlock Bath. A couple of minutes walk to the railway station.
Rooms were well located, away from the main pub so no noise from the bar.
Great for travelling with dogs.
Being located away from the town centre is both a pro and con as Matlock is very steep however the bus stops right outside the car park should you not wish to walk back up from the town.
We had the kingside room which had a four poster bed with amazing views of the matlock castle. The bathroom was also very nice and very big with a walk in shower. The food in the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful and there was a wide range of local ales for sale.
Situated between Matlock and Matlock Bath and central for visiting the Derbyshire dales. Within a short walking distance from Matlock bath and it's facilities. Great if your a walker, with walks from door. Clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly hosts, and a great breakfast.
We were very pleased with our stay at the New Bath Hotel, the room was lovely and we both slept well as the bed was comfortable and the curtains were thick to cut out all outside lights. We got a very good deal and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room.
Stayed here with some friends for my 50th birthday. Lovely hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Close to matlock and matlock bath. Breakfast was continental very nice. Friends had a cooked breakfast which they enjoyed. Check out at 11am.
Situated in the middle of Matlock Bath this is a lovely hotel.
Our hosts made us very welcome and the COVID-19 measures were really good.
I do have to say that the ‘bacon buttie’ along with the ‘porridge’ at breakfast was wonderful 👍😀
Every staff encounter was a pleasure, all polite, friendly and welcoming.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful.
1 mile to Matlock bath and 2 miles to Matlock.
The food was delicious and plentiful.
The staff make the hotel.
Great Hotel. Very accommodating staff from helping with registration, tending bar, carrying bags, serving dinner and just being genuinely nice in their busy day. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds.
Stunning view across the valley, one of the best hotel views I've ever had, friendly happy reception staff, good location for Matlock Bath, beware the steep hill back though.
A very nice apartment in the centre of Matlock Bath overlooking the river. The apartment was clean, tidy and very well equipped with high-quality items.
