I really loved the location, I love being out in the country side and it was lovely to see sheep outside of my window. The place was very clean and well thought out, there was so much space and was really quiet at night. I even had some homemade cakes made for me and there was some biscuits and coffee etc.

A good base to visit Peak District.
A good base to visit Peak District. Shopping centre in decline. Local bus services in decline but possible to reach Hayfield and Buxton. Plus very good train service to Manchester, London, Birmingham etc. Some good eateries - especially excellent Plums Kitchen.

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. The town is of a manageable size with pretty parks, and it has various small events going on in the local pubs, plus each month there is the Treacle Market, which is a popular feature of Macclesfield.

I came for the silk museum and the Paradise Mill which I can recommend both. The Treacle Market on the last Sunday of the month was a good experience. The weather was sunny, but often was a chill strong wind, I missed a hat. It takes only 30 minutes to travel by train to Manchester, and about 2 hours to London. There are good restaurants and pubs! There are many places to take a nice walk in the nature of the surrounding area, but unfortunately I had to postpone them.

A nice small town centre, a good choice of eateries & cafes, A couple of good ladies boutiques along with a lovely shop Rocco selling stylish boots & trainers.
The Tytherington hotel is well worth a stay as they have a good Spa & pool. Another small hotel nearby is BoHotel & eatery, lovely. Free car parking available for the town centre too.

We enjoyed our stay in Macclesfield and it was a good centre for exploring the surrounding area. The town has a silk museum and various other interesting buildings. We can highly recommend the Chinese restaurant, Jin.

I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure.
I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure. It is a small town where shops and restaurants generally close quite early.
I did not have anytime to do any sightseeing in the town or outside - so I cannot really comment about the place from a leisure point of view.
I booked one night at The Bridge as I was working in the local area and could not have had a better experience! A beautiful hotel in a characterful little village, the room was spotless and had everything to hand that I could have needed. The staff were friendly and helpful at every stage of my stay and the breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel in my 15 years of travelling for work. The car park was more than ample and I could not have enjoyed my stay more. At £65 for the night, The Bridge massively over delivered!
The spa facilities were amazing!! The pool was big and there was a separated area for children and adults. Great for people who love to swim when staying in a hotel. The grounds itself were lovely also. The room was only a double room and it was big enough. The room was so lovely! The bed was extremely comfortable! And the lady on reception was amazing even helped us find a gluten free restaurant nearby as we have dietary issues. She welcomed us immediately and was extremely helpful. Couldn’t fault our stay!
This extraordinary hotel gives you the feeling of the real essence of the British hospitality in a location where you feel the history of the past centuries; you experience immediately the warmth of the ancient style of the dining- and sleepingrooms wonderfully furnished in harmony to the history of this typical English countryside house.
You will always come back when you are again in the area of Manchester.
Fantastic relaxing location! Green surroundings. Looking down on the Manchester skyline on the horizon. A place to make nice walks or a short evening tour into the hills. Great main building. I did not use the spa facilities but the outside pool etc. also looked very attractive... hope to be back there one day (I don't often say that about hotels). Large free parking area, good bed, good bathroom...
This little static home was exactly what we needed. We came up to the area for a conference, so just needed beds and a shower, but we ended up with lovely comfy home for a few nights. Very clean and had everything we needed.
It allowed us to really wind down after our long days at the conference.
Location was a perfect walking distance from Alderly park and close enough to macclesfield.
Telly was extremely accommodating to arrange transfer of keys, and a quick tour of the property. The facilities were clean, adequately supplied with linens, kitchen utensils, wifi, full cooker/stove. It was perfect for my needs (a self-contained place from which to visit a sick relative).
Proximity to the centre of town, and the train station is a whopping PLUS!
Karina is an amazing host! We stayed here one night and she was so accomadating with our luggage and even brought it up to our room when it was ready. The room was so nice and cozy and decorated beautifully! The breakfast was amazing! Also a very good location! close to the square, shops, train station, 108 steps(look that up).
thank you again
I had a great stay in the bunk room. Really nice staying in an only a 2 person shared room compared to a larger hostel. Everything was clean and comfortable. Multiple pillows and blankets and towels provided for free. Very close to public transportation to the Peak District. I would recommend and would stay again if in Macclesfield again.
The Apartment was really beautifully presented - stylish but homely, spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The area was quiet and convenient for the town centre. It was nice to have a breakfast area downstairs as well as somewhere to eat upstairs as well.
The apartment is in a great location and an easy walk to some good restaurants, a great bakery, and the train station. Nice, well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean and in good shape. James could not have been a more thoughtful and welcoming host.
The rooms were spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped. It was so nice to arrive to a small container of milk, cookies, coffee and tea. The apartment's location was excellent, very close to the centre of town and lots of shops and restaurants.
The breakfast was abundant with plenty of options. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect for a country retreat that’s also quite near a town. Beautiful views and some lovely circular walks from the hotel.
The apartment was lovely, spacious, clean, and right in the heart of Macclesfield. Perfect location for getting out and about and very close to bus and train stations
What a lovely little place just off the town centre of Macclesfield. Super comfortable with plenty of niceties thrown in.
Lovely atmosphere in the house.
Perfect Spa! one night with massage the other with warm swimming pool Jacuzzi and sauna.
No need to go out of the hotel :)
Very comfortable. Good food.
