The staff were exceptional, friendly, approachable, patient and professional - could not be falted!
My room was comfortable, bright and airy with a good supply of tea, coffee, biscuits, etc.
The breakfast menu was varied and generous. Whilst I didn't have any cooked food I enjoyed the continental choices. The friends I was with really enjoyed their cooked food - tasty, generous portions, well presented and appetising!
The food served on both the Saturday and Sunday nights was much tastier than on the Friday night (mushroom wellington in puff pastry as it should be!) and the hake was delicious. All the food served was delicious, the portions generous and the staff could not do enough to ensure we were aware of the delays, serve drinks at the table with smiling faces and a genuine sense of humour and caring attitude - excellent customer service at all times.

We loved the house and the space around it. The room was very spacious and had every detail thought of: tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, etc. very clean and the bathroom was amazing! We brought our dog too and were very pleased that the owners had a dedicated area for the dogs to run around and play freely. Great breakfast too. But most of all, the owners Neil and Rosemarie and their team were absolutely wonderful, made us feel very welcomed and looked after.

Location was really handy for walking to the beach and various parts of town. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Ellie’s communication was great beforehand too, we were warned about the narrow alley to get to parking spot. Would stay again :)

There are lovely independent shops, the is only a coop and Tesco extra, so food quite basic, there are some lovely cafes for lunches,
It is on a hill so you have to be able to manage a small hill, the beach and walk along the beach front is flat, there are good ice cream stalls, I think it would be very busy in summer, we found a few fossils to take home, Monmouth beach is rocky but has some lovely fossils in large rocks to see and the amonite pavement

I have visited Lyme Regis since being a child so it’s very familiar to me.
When you arrive at the property what would make it even clearer is to say if you arrive from the Church End of Monmouth street when you get to the fork in the road park on the left fork unload your car then park as explained. We parked outside the property as told to by a local resident then got a torrent of abuse from a driver who wanted to get past which wasn’t a nice welcome. The lanes are very narrow and we had to stop and wait several times however everything in the property and local area was wonderful. We had a wonderful meal with the most stunning views at Mark Hixs restaurant and really enjoyed the new and old shops and we were blessed with wonderful weather

I was there two nights for a gig on the second night.
I was there two nights for a gig on the second night. I'd been through a couple of times previously and stopped briefly to visit the road end of the seafront, so this was the first proper stay. Unfortunately the weather was wet, windy and cold but I saw enough from just walking around to know that it would be a good (quaint) place to visit for longer and to take in some of the local attractions based around the fossils found in the area.

A lively, bustling quintessential British seaside resort.
A lively, bustling quintessential British seaside resort. Almost too busy on sunny summer days, but lively and fun for everyone. Lots of lovely scrummy places to eat, jolly pubs, many summer events, and the same jolly atmosphere at Christmas time too - lights, carols around the Christmas tree, etc ! But…..Prepare to pay a lot for parking! Or arrive by train to Axminster and catch the bus to the centre of Lyme from the station. Shop at Ammonite Fine Foods for holiday presents - (disclosure …my sister owns it !)

We have visited Lyme Regis many times.
We have visited Lyme Regis many times. We enjoy walking through the gardens and around the harbour. The town is quite steep and cobbled so not for infirm or elderly. We ate in our favourite pub The Royal Standard. They have a friendly atmosphere and pool table. Food is delicious there. Also Badger and Beach is friendly and makes lovely coffee.

A very busy village even in the off season...so be prepared for lots of people. Well worth visiting...great food at the local restaurants and the views and walks are wonderful. Wish I could have further explored the area.
The most beautiful bedroom!!! The design was so lovely. The linens and bed were of the highest quality. Everything has been thought of and it was absolute luxury. Better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed in.
All of the staff could not do enough for us. The food was fabulous with the best breakfast. Their vegan menu was excellent and thoroughly thought through, not just an after thought which is often the case.
I’m a pretty fussy person and there is nothing I would change here. Absolutely amazing!!
The abode is perched on top of a garage, providing you with the privacy of a fully detached house. It is well appointed with all of the basic supplies. I never had need to request any of the basics+. The the most comfortable bed in 6 weeks! The décor does a fantastic job of welcoming you into Lyme Regis. The proprietors must be the most friendly and accommodating in the whole county. I will defiantly be returning to this accommodation.
Great location, we had a nice view of the ocean and town from our room. Clean room and bath, both on the small size but adequate for a short stay. Friendly and accommodating staff. Very nice pub and dining area on the first floor. Great breakfast cooked to order and nicely prepared dinner. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking in a private lot adjacent to the hotel for a reasonable rate of 10 pounds per night.
The Jolly Lodge is a wonderful stay in Lyme Regis, we really appreciated the personal touches from the host. The facilities were more than we expected and everything was up to a really high standard. Clean, warm, stylish, with a stunning view of the sea, and lovely natural surroundings. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Rosemary and Neil are exceptional hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and their house/hotel is so beautiful. So many thoughtful touches and they can provide afternoon cream teas. The bar and pool are additional bonuses. The setting and location is so convenient for exploring Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
The guest house is ideally situated in Lyme Regis with easy access to local bars and restaurants. The quality of the continental breakfast (brought to our room) exceeded our expectations. The availability of filtered still and sparkling water 'on tap' was a real plus. The room was very comfortable.
Beautiful, clean, and cozy apartment less than 10 minutes walk from the beach. Lyme Regis has been on my bucket list for a while, and this apartment was perfect for me to relax and unwind as a solo traveller for the weekend. Owners provided cute extras as well. Highly recommend.
This a lovely little boutique hotel with a wonderful vibe. Small but beautifully formed, on arrival it makes you feel instantly at home and welcome. It is priced very fairly and is wonderfully clean with outstanding breakfast. Good location and fabulous team in house.
This is a lovely hotel to stay at. The hosts are very welcoming, our room was a good size with all the facilities one would expect at this room rate - nice and clean too. The breakfast is plenty to set you up for the day before heading out on your adventures.
The property is finished to a high standard
And is very comfortable
Great views from garden
Great location
We have stayed in lyme regis on many occasions
From huts to hotels
Flats to houses
This was the best by far
Definitely stay again.
Great small hotel - has its own car park which is a major plus in Lyme Regis. Bit of a steep walk up from town, but the views make up for it. spectacular views from both windows in our room. Coast and sea. Big gardenn with views too.
Everyone was so lovely! Perfect location! Literally around the corner from all the shops and the restaurants, right next to Lyme regis brewery, lovely short walk to the beach! Got lots of great tips for fossil hunting!
Homely, comfortable and well equipped apartment, a short walk from the centre of Lyme Regis. The hosts have thought of everything to make you feel at home, with flowers on the table and a welcome cream tea.
We fell in love, this comfortable, compact and nicely decorated renovated flat, very close to Lyme Regis beach front. Perfect location right opposite a church and minutes from all the bars & restaurants.
Great location, quirky flat with character, comfortable bed and nice and clean. Everything that needed for my stay. Also very near to nice park/gardens to exercise my dog. Lyme regis very dog friendly!!
though over the years it has been developed into the hotel, it still retains a degree of the quirkiness of 17th C property. Very fortunate to have been given a wonderful room with exceptional views
The breakfast menu was excellent!! Really liked the ‘honesty box’ for helping ourselves to a drink. Also liked the fact the hotel had parking..a lot in Lyme Regis didn’t
