Swan Hotel by Greene King Inns, hotel in Lower Froyle

Set amid the shops on Alton's main street "Not to be confused with Alton (the home of Alton Towers) in the Midlands" the Swan Hotel is a historical building that dates back to 1377.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Spacious rooms, with everything you need, including really comfortable beds. Bethany went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and I cannot praise her enough. Had one of the best night's sleep on a long time :)

Our stay at the Frensham Pond Country house Hotel was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the charm of the place was evident. We rented a room with a patio, and it was such a pleasure to sit outside and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings. The room itself was a testament to thoughtful design, blending comfort with style seamlessly. Cleanliness was top-notch, which made our stay even more comfortable and worry-free.

Stayed for a wedding nearby. This was a great choice.

Stayed for a wedding nearby. This was a great choice. Really cosy chic place, lots of period features with on site parking and lots of amenities. Couldn’t fault it, shower was amazing and the restaurant downstairs is also fabulous. Highly recommend it.

Not much to see really except for the Crown Inn.

Not much to see really except for the Crown Inn. However, the town of Farnham is just 5 miles away or so and it offers a number of historic sites to visit. Also, the Waverley Abbey is only 19 mins away and I strongly recommend a visit there to see the remnants of an old abbey destroyed during Henry VIII's reign after the Vatican refused to annul his marriage

This was the best pub hotel break we've ever had. Lovely old pub with low beams and real fires, but also with modernised rooms (with posh coffee machine and nice toiletries). All the staff were patient, knowledgeable and helpful. New head chef is great. We also found the location was perfect for dog walks. Will definitely return here and recommend. Thanks!

Friendly helpful staff, very good service at the bar. Good sized rooms with good amenities, clean with plenty of space. It was important to us that the hotel was dog friendly, and there were local walks for the dogs exercise.

I didn't get to experience the hotel because they cancelled my stay at the last minute. Nothing to like about that.

Couldn’t fault much! Maybe the low ceilings being a tall guy, but it adds to the feel of the hotel.
