It was beautiful, the location was perfect, the room was clean and had everything we needed, the breakfast was delicious and the added addition of the outside area (especially at night) was so pretty. The added little touch of a hand written note and two towel displayed as swans with rose petals was just lovely. You made a lovely, romantic stay even better than we could have wished for.

Lovely breakfast - full English was served and there was a choice of some cereals too. The room was clearly recently refurnished and was lovely and the bathroom was really nice. Bed was a double and the mattress a little too soft but that's personal choice. Lovely place, full of character.

A lovely hotel that is very dog-friendly and serves excellent food. Our only issue with our stay was that the meal service was extremely slow. We were sitting in the Conservatory as we had our dog with us. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the service was slow. Perhaps this was because it was a Sunday evening? Other than this we had a very pleasant time.

A lovely hotel next to the river, the location is perfect! We got upgraded to a deluxe room which was lovely, the bed was very comfortable with great pillows! The shower pressure was amazing! Breakfast was absolutely beautiful and plenty of it! The staff were fabulous too, especially Colin the handyman! On our departure day we woke to find we had a flat tyre, Colin came to our rescue and went above and beyond to help us out, the guy even took me to a local tyre place in his own car to get ours fixed! Such a comfort to know that gentlemen like Colin still exist! We’d flattened our battery too so when we came to leave the car needed a push, again Colin to our rescue! Thanks Colin, you truly were a godsend!

Beautiful spot with plenty of lovely walks and things to do all within a 10minute drive. A quaint and beautiful thatched cottage with hosts that really couldn’t do enough for us. Absolutely delightful, if you get a chance to book this fabulous find you won’t be remotely disappointed. Highly recommend.

The accommodation is actually in Dorsington, Long Marston.

The accommodation is actually in Dorsington, Long Marston. The hamlet or village of Dorsington has an arboratum, created only in 1990 but with both mature trees and some just 20 or so years old: 658 trees of 47 kinds, including some exotic trees such as the Tree of Heaven and the Chinese Pearlboom Tree. It's quite a lovely area to walk around, listening to birdsong. The architecture of this little village is extremely varied, and includes a large Cotswold stone house being beautifully thatched at the moment. The roads around are rather quiet, and suitable for cyclists and joggers to have free reign most of the time. There are very many places of interest to visit, not far away.
