Cottage was dowdy in near of updating. Pictures on site were misleading. No wi-fi or mobile signal. Although stated there was no where to make a call in an emergency. Wanted £t0 for two dogs who slept in a dog cage which we though was excessive. Only stayed the one night. We also agreed with he previous occupants of the week before.

Llangadog is a small rural village in a remote part of Carmarthenshire. The scenery is gorgeous and there is some great walking to be had in the district, although personal transport is essential. The village itself is pleasant enough although very quiet with a small number of shops serving the local community all the year round and tourists in the summer. There is one hotel and two pubs for your entertainment, dining and drinking requirements but no nightclubs, stripclubs or other venues providing razzmatazz. If you are self-catering you will be able to get all your groceries in the village and if you want a quiet stay this place is recommended.

Llangadog is a pretty village on the western edge of the Brecon national park. I am very familiar with the area as my father has lived nearby for over 20 years. Llandeilo is a town worth a visiti. In terms of walks there are too many to mention. The Black Mountain and the quarry up there is a good spot to walk. Also Llyn y Fan Fach is beautiful, as are the two peaks there. If you want something more flat then the reservoir is lovely too. Trapp village is a good visit too - as well as the castle there. For children they also like to visit the caves at Dan yr Ogof; just along from there is a horse stable that does riding for adults and children. Also worth a visit is the Red Kite feeding centre at the Cross. There are too many good places to mention. Llangadog itself has a good food shop, post office and a couple of pubs/restaurants - so the basics are provided for. It is about 20 mins to Llandeilo or Llandovery by car.
