It's a small town on the upper Thames with an 18th-century bridge. Buscot Park (National Trust) is less than three miles away, and Kelmscott (once the home of William Morris) not much further. His friend Burne-Jones's pre-Raphaelite stained glass can be seen in Buscot church.

A lovely place to stay right on the banks of the river Thames. The room was clean and comfortable with the best tea and coffee making facilities I've ever seen. If I could offer some advice it would be to upgrade the lighting in the room as it did feel a little dark.Very happy with my stay thank you.

A lovely Cotswold town with plenty of small shops including a very well stocked licensed health food store. A selection of eateries including high quality pub grub, super Indian and fish & chip shop. Good river walk along the upper reaches of the Thames.
The room in this pub was excellent. Situated opposite the hotel it was roomy and very well equipped. There were plenty of places to hang/store our belongings. The bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower. Two comfy chairs and a very comfortable bed made for a relaxing stay. We received a very warm welcome from staff. The pub was extremely busy but they took the time to tell us about their meal service and places to go to get breakfast in the morning.
Staff and service was excellent. We got a flat tire one night and they were able to assist us with booking AA the next morning. The property was gorgeous and tucked away in a quiet town. The room was spacious, warm, and clean. We were able to drive to our room to drop off/pick up our heavy luggage. Breakfast was delicious and they served generous portions. We enjoyed our walk around the property and the garden tour.
We were walking the Thames Path and Lechlade was the ideal stopping place. Vera's Kitchen are closed on Tuesdays, but they called during the day and messaged us to confirm that we knew how to check in etc. They also called several times before about our booking in response to questions we raised. they couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. the breakfasts were exceptional.
The New Inn is in a great location at the heart of Lechlade. The village itself is lovely and is close to many other great locations in the Costwolds. We had dinner in the restaurant on both nights and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. They have their own car park which we were able to use free of charged and there was plenty of space.
The five Alls is lovely and quaint , very cosy and welcoming. I ate at the restaurant in the evening and have to say was not as nice as expected for the cost. The eton mess was very disappointing. Breakfast was lovely but little small . All in all I would say this is a lovely place and I would not hesitate to stay again in the future.
Perfectly located and well equipped accommodation. Very clean and tidy, We used it for a small family reunion and there was plenty to do in the area and it was not far to travel to either Lechlade or Burford, both very attractive towns. We'll definitely recommend it to friends.
Lovely pub/hotel right next to the Thames river. It was beautiful sitting outside next to the river and enjoying our drink watching the sunset in the evening. The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. Definitely coming back to enjoy this place more.
The house is in a good location to access the lovely town of Lechlade and other attractions such as the wildlife park. The rooms are good sizes, the back room is nice and the shower is really powerful. The litlle bottles of shampoo etc and the hamper were a nice bonus.
The location was beautiful and extremely quiet, the hotel was extremely cozy and comfortable, facilities in the room were great especially the shower, the staff were the best part, they went above and beyond to make the stay even better.
Book your stay for the food . Breakfast and dinner excellent .
It’s an Inn not a hotel bear that in mind with your expectations .
Linen / beds/towels / toiletries/ top notch .
Breakfast waiter lovely .
We stayed in the garden cottage, a very nice room at the back of the courtyard. Facilities were good and the breakfast options were great and very tasty! We can also highly recommend the homemade cakes!
Lovely combination of modern comforts combined with old charm in the oldest inn in the centre of Lechlade. Peaceful, warm, quiet room and a comfy bed. Parking available at the back was very handy.
We liked the location and the town of Lechlade.
The room was large.
The staff were charming
Breakfast was served from 06:30 in by very efficient staff.
there is a lovely lawn down to the river
Absolutely beautiful hotel, with so much attention to detail, it was heavenly from a comfortable bed to a beautiful tub bath & a great powerful shower, & even a complimentary Negroni..??!!
Friendly, welcoming staff, fantastic, spacious period room, very comfy bed, good bathroom. No breakfast or evening meals available at property, both available nearby.
