The Old Ferry Inn, hotel in Lanreath

Set on the banks of the Fowey River Estuary in Bodinnick, The Old Ferry Inn has provided food and cosy accommodation for over 400 years. It features a panoramic restaurant and traditional Cornish pub....

We started our stay at the Old Ferry Inn with the owner obligingly sprinting uphill to show us the parking space and helping us personally with our luggage. After a short rest in our beautifully furnished room with a modern bath we had drinks paired with good food and a beautiful view over the harbor. Our whole stay was pleasant and we could not have wished for a more friendly personal. It's a secluded place to relax and enjoy. Currently the owner is getting some work done and we will be returning at some point to see how this will be finished.

Beautifully, recently renovated period property offering the best of boutique vacation. The food was outstanding, some of the best I’ve eaten, and the bedroom was super comfy with a huge bed and river view. The staff were attentive, friendly and relaxed. We would highly recommend this stay.

The Lugger Inn, hotel in Lanreath

Set in Polruan, The Lugger Inn offers beachfront accommodation 1.3 km from Readymoney Cove Beach and offers various facilities, such as a restaurant and a bar.

A lovely one night stay at The Lugger in Polruan. Beautifully appointed and clean room with view onto the harbour and boatyard. Compact accommodation but had everything we needed. The rooms are right above the pub and have their own entrance which is nice. Friendly and very helpful staff. There was an issue checking in which was dealt with professionally including offering us a complimentary drink while we waited. Nice atmosphere in pub and you can get drinks to take out in the evening sun on the quay (while Fowey is in the shade!)

Lovely place to stay. Clean and comfortable.

Lovely place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Heading was a bit warm at times but found it cold in the hallway (but we did go in December). Highly recommend this place and if ever in the area again would love to stay. The Tipsy Cow is the local pub situated within the village hall, nice and friendly.

Lanreath is beautiful, if you want something lively don't stay hear, simples! It is approx. 6 miles from Looe - not a problem if you have a car /bike to cycle but it takes you away from the hustle and bustle. Locals are lovely, so friendly & helpful we really enjoyed our stay.

Rowan lodge was probably one of the best b & b's l have stayed in. Breakfast was amazing. The village is very quiet, with beautiful views, old buildings and a friendly atmosphere. There's a church,a village shop and a social club to walk to if you want a drink in the evening. We weren't there over a weekend but they often have bands or events there too. Lanreath is in a great location to explore Looe and Polperro, Bodmin moor, its not very far from the Eden project, and the hosts at Rowan Lodge,Debbie and Paul, will recommend lots of restaurants.
