Everything about the Redgarth Inn was perfect. Host Stuart made sure we were made welcome. The rooms were lovely and well maintained and had everything you would need. The location was also perfect. We ate in the restaurant at night and the food was excellent. Breakfast was continental, but couldn't have been better.

First and foremost I would like to bring special attention and praise to the front desk concierge, 'Sam'. In all the hotels I've vacationed in around the world, no other concierge I have met has even remotely come close to the professionalism, customer service, friendliness and care of duty to both the establishment of which she is employed and me, the visiting guest. She is an irreplaceable asset to the Strathburn Hotel, and I truly hope that they recognise what a gem they have and compensate her accordingly.
As for the property, Strathburn Hotel is well situated in a very peaceful location of Inverurie with local facilities within walking distance. It is a modern hotel with a touch of classic Scottish style thrown in. There is plenty of parking for those driving and was very easy to find. For those of you who are looking for entertainment, Aberdeen is a mere 25 minute drive from the hotel containing all the typical amenities you would expect from a city of this size. It even has a small amusement park on the beachside if you're looking for something fun to pass the time.
All-in-all I had a great stay in the Strathburn Hotel in Inverurie and it would certainly be my first choice location if I am up that way again.

Amanda gave us a warm welcome, and introduced us to 'Dave' the Malaysian chicken, who put on a lovely performance of interpretive dance. Seriously, the cottage gave all the comforts of home. Next time, we'll stay a few days to a week. One night this time wasn't long enough.

The location is perfect for exploring a wide area of Aberdeenshire. Fyvie castle is not far away where we had a lovely walk. We went to the north coast (Gardenstown) which is only a 30 min drive away - we only had 2 days but much more to see and do which we will have to come back for another time.
