A warm welcome even after hours and a splendid freshly cooked breakfast were the highlights of our one night stay in this traditional Scottish hotel

It's probably the best hostel kitchen I have ever used and seen. Plently of pots, pans, and cooking trays. There's even some communal herbs and spices to use. Ovens and stove stop aplenty. They also have some cup noodles and bits like that to buy on site.
They do offer laundry service.
Right on the loch if you are brave enough to swim and a beautiful location.
Good atmosphere, clean and nice staff/volunteers.
High above the world famous Loch Ness, home to the elusive Loch Ness Monster, Foyers Roost offers views across the loch and beautiful mountains surrounding it. There is free parking and free WiFi.

A very relaxed and friendly hotel. The food at breakfast and in the evening is really good. The hotel is full of interesting bits and pieces, and the staff are lovely. The area around and about is beautiful and peaceful. The road down to Fort Augustus is magical ... single track roads in places, but little traffic, so no bother.
Lock Chambers, Caledonian Canal Centre is set in Fort Augustus. The property is non-smoking and is located 26 km from Urquhart Castle. The units in the hotel are fitted with a flat-screen TV.

Lots of interesting things even though it was onky a small village. Loved our stay at Craig na Dav, a lovely B&B. Would highly recommend it. Comfortable accommodation with a great choice of breakfast. The sisters who run the place were really nice and made us so welcome,

I was slightly put off by the owner message that we had to arrive by a certain time for the key to be available. I think it was by 7 pm and it seemed as though she would not make exception for emergencies.

Invermoriston doesn't have anything in it, particularly, other than a nice coffee shop and one really, really good pub/restaurant (the only game in town, but it is luckily a good one). Is it really a "town," per se? Hard to tell. Sort of just a crossroads along driving/hiking routes. But it's very pretty!

Loved everything about it!! Wonderful hosts.
Loved everything about it!! Wonderful hosts. Really friendly, kind and helpful from booking through to the stay. Nothing too much trouble. The studio apartment we stayed in was absolutely spotless and well aired. Really comfy beds and sofa. Very well appointed / well supplied kitchen too (we picked up lovely food for our stay from a decent sized M&S foodhall a few miles away). Bathroom was great too. It's located in a brilliant spot and was perfect for our trip. I would recommend Lann Dearg to anyone. Would definitely book again if in the area, without hesitation. The best of it might actually have been the delight of hearing SO much birdsong!! Birds, like Bees seem to have declined a huge amount since my childhood (I'm 50 and based in England as a child and for the last 10 years) and this was just fantastic to hear. Saw a few birds on the lawn I've not seen for a very long time too. Just loved it. Oooh and the night sky!!
This was a lovely little updated cabin in nature, close to trails, lochs and the nearest city. The owners were friendly and very helpful. The reviews had warned to bring food with us, which we did. We took day trips to Inverness, Isle of Skye and Eileen Donan Castle. This was a great location and cabin for the price. We had worried the cabin would be old and rustic, which it was not. The owners had kept it in good condition, the furniture was new and comfortable. Perfect for two people.
The property itself was spacious, clean and well equipped for a weekend stay - the view from the panoramic window is great, we were able to rustle up some good meals in the kitchen, and the bedrooms were very comfortable for a good night's sleep.
The location itself is secluded and peaceful, but close enough to the nearby villages of Invermoriston and Fort Augustus for a meal, a walk, or picking up any essential shopping.
What a wonderful experience to stay with these two sisters and their puppy Alva! Such a quaint cottage with the garden and wildlife all around. We were served a traditional Scottish breakfast, and it was wonderful, even the haggis! We felt very welcomed here and the next time I'm in Scotland, I am making it a point to stay here again!
When we were traveling from Inverness to Fort Augustus, we booked this place at Invermoristan, 6 miles prior. We overshot the bus station. When we called to get guidance, we got clear message plus an assurance that if we decide to stay at Fort Augustus, we won't be charged at all. This gesture was very nice
The best accomodation we had during our two weeks in Scotland! They have everything you need and much more. The owners are really kind and helpfull. Unfortunately we werent with our doggie but this accomodtion is well prepared also for your pawtner!
The owner was very friendly and welcoming and the room was very clean and cozy. She was able to make a reservation for us at the hotel for dinner and breakfast in the morning was great, just what we needed for our hike along the Great Glen Way!
The heating, the views, the hot tub, the recliner chair.
Everything about the stay was amazing, well secluded, literally cut off from everything. The walks in the local area were beautiful, 30 mins away from Inverness was wonderful.
Breakfast was really good. Good coffee. The host booked a dinner table for us at the Glenmoriston Arms Hotel in advance, as it is the only place in town to eat dinner and is quickly sold out.
Nice, historic hotel with appropriate charm. Comfortable, convenient, easy parking, and good food available. The hotel has a nice history and is convenient to many sites of interest.
Breakfast was wonderful and tailored to our requests. The rooms and bathrooms were large and had a nice tea/snack option. We loved our stop here as we drove from Skye to Inverness.
The location and the friendliness of the staff.
Accommodations are spartan but clean and comfortable.
I would stay again and will certainly recommend it to others.
