Stein Inn, hotel in Greshornish

Set in Stein and with Dunvegan Castle reachable within 16 km, Stein Inn offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. Guests can have a drink at the bar.

Excellent location and food (the reason for our trip). I had been there to eat before but never stayed. The room was recently refurbished and well decorated but was really small. I mean tiny! Not a problem as we only stayed the night arriving late and leaving early but not suitable if you want to sit and read - you need to use the bar for that.

Beautiful property in a stunning location, rooms were very luxurious and comfortable and the views were stunning! Vicki was a great host, and the breakfasts were incredible, just what we needed before a day of hiking. It was a lovely touch coming back in the afternoon to home-baked cakes. Would recommend this property to anyone coming to Skye.

I stayed for one night on an unplanned visit due to not being able to get home to South Skye as a result of a serious traffic collision that closed the road. My husband booked it (which is why the review is by Douglas!) We have lived on Skye for almost 20 years and have never been down the track to this hotel. I loved it. Even though we live on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, I want to come back and stay again.

What a wonderful setting for our stay on the Isle of Skye! The room was clean, a very comfortable size with two padded chairs and table, had a beautiful view of the ocean, and was quiet! We also had access to a separate "reading-morning" room. Large dining room view of an unnamed Loch. The continental breakfast was pleasant with a variety of food, including coffee, tea, and juice. Staff so friendly. Our springtime visit (end of April) provided an opportunity to see a lot of lambs and an otter pair. Parking great.

From the moment of arrival we were made to feel extremely comfortable and welcome, all the staff were very efficient, the views were tremendous, and although it is off the beaten track, we were treated with nothing but kindness and the knowledge OF Chris the owner was superb, meals were excellent, well cooked and efficiently served by a cheerful team. We will be recommending to everyone who visits Skye.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to stay for one more night! The host and the staff were just lovely, super friendly and welcoming. Topped up with great breakfast, a bar, a stunning sea view, remote location, a beautiful big room, comfortable bed, super clean bathroom, good Wifi in the room - all these definitely makes us want to stay at Redwood House again.

Enjoyed a lovely stay here! About a half hour from Portree making for a great base to explore the island. The very long driveway was unexpected but made for some fun videos with the sheep wandering through. The hotel itself was charming and very comfortable; our room has a great view of the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The view from my room was just beautiful and I loved the slightly off the beaten track setting of the hotel. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable and the ensuite shower was spotless. I could happily have stayed there for days.
